If you wanted to test the lockers wouldn't it be best to run the ditch on a 45 degree angle?

This was to prove out eariler test wasn't a fluke. Previously was gour full throttle assualt at a loose river bar, unlocked then locked. Repeat for a proof of testing concept.

Back through 4D inches of water to clean the evidence. And then, well the crack was there at the same time we where passing. Who am I to say no??

Well I must give credit where due to @ThreeEyedBandit and @jamister1 while I was enjoying my camp chair and #6 enjoying a sunny 70* day on the river.

And the little river/creek crossing (Yes I know it's a sammi, but I didn't get any video of a toyota crossing..... probably to uneventful)

From what I read you only heat up the element if you are making an adjustment to the plate that controls the orifices. I worked off of this thread: Blue fan clutch mod even though mine is not blue. It's not even black, just unpainted aluminum.

I took it back out this weekend after replacing the oil and I hit 225F on a steep climb. I can spin it easily by hand even at operating temp. Think I'm just going to order a new fan clutch if they're available and not screw around with overheating.

Finished my re-organization of accessory wiring, a lot more out of the way now that the fuse box is near the firewall and not in front of the battery. Have a shore power battery charger mounted in front of the battery now.

Took her to smog, with two months old fuel since I last drove her. Drove for 30mins on the freeway prior to the smog.

Finally got out for bit, after 4 new U-joints and shafts balanced, now I have a weird drive line vibration to chase at 65 and up going to start with more grease in the slip joints and go from there, going to be a long couple of days I think

Little update to this, Pulled the zerk on the slip joint and very small amount of grease came out under its own power.... So pulled the front drive shaft and went for a spin with with the CDL, smooth as could be so at least got it narrowed down to the front shaft..... A closer inspection reveals that one of the c clips on the front Ujoint was missing. So back to the shop, where they find a clip that would work and reballance it with even more washers tacked on to it 5 or 6 and good sized ones at that.... Its then I finally noticed that front shaft was in phase, and had an argument with someone thats never seen a DS set up out of phase in 40 years.

Went and procured the FSM information pertaining to the the correct orientation of the front shaft on a FZJ80 and had them do it again, JUST MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE dammit... Get it back and there is just 2 little weights on it to balance now huh...... Got it back under the truck and all is well smooth as you would expect for new U-joints. All in all they did a good job, and happy with the results, the phasing may have been like that since I bought it, as I have been under the impression the drive line is still all oem but it might have been in phase when I pulled it since my index marks line up with it being like that, and I just didnt notice it.
