Not a good week. Destroyed my e-locked rear diff (not the gears) and short side axle. It's a long story. If anyone has a lead on a locking rear diff I'd sure appreciate it.

It drags it around fine. My trip from the mine to home is about 50 miles. I wouldn't want to drag it much further. Brakes are the issue. The trailer has surge brakes, and things would probably work better with electric brakes. I am down to first gear at redline at the top of the 7%, three mile grade I have to traverse.

How does through 1101 pull behind the '80? I've thought about getting one, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Running with dry birfs and precisely 1 or 2 properly sized bolts holding my knuckles on, with low torque and two short heli-coils per hole.

Geez you lot whinge a lot about the price of fuel. Move here and see what we cop! Converted to gallons, I'm paying $3.50 US for diesel ($1.325/L AUD)

I'd purchased a NATO metal gas can at a local car parts store for just under $30 a month or so back. I filled it with fuel a week or so ago, and drove around with it in back.

I noted no smell of fuel during this test, so I poured it into my tank today. It has a spout that is self vented, and I was amazed at how clean the pour was. I couldn't even smell the gas when pouring it into the tank.

I did note it was slightly slow, but overall I found it to be a good container, despite its affordable price. I will pick up at least one more to extend my range. While I can get fuel for $2.39 on post, off post it is significantly higher.
