Do you guys know the the weight difference between the Cummins and the Toyota engine is?
Enough that you will notice it. Just like the first time you add a heavy bumper and winch to the front and go for a drive.

Found some snow. Ended up driving up a trail a bit too narrow. Few new pinstripes. Oh well.
I also ran into a couple other rigs, 90s 4runner and an 80s pickup. They made it over a pretty serious bump in the road.. I was concerned about high centering, I'll have to go back after I get my sliders on.

I think that's the first time I've seen an Ironman bumper. It's different. Not in a bad way. Have you had a chance to use the ComeUP? I have loved the ComeUp winch on my 80. Strong and fast.

Is this the big Japanese oil filter that everyone gets all hot and bothered about?

Lucky me!! I found a handful in my basement in my parts collection!

Does someone know the amount of Pag oil in the AC system of hand? I'm replacing the compressor and drier. It says to add 20cc when replacing each one. But not sure that means 40cc total. I thought it was just 20cc total.

Not yet. I got the 12k.. it just barely fit between my frame rails. Very tight clearance all around. I still need to pull it all out and pretension the line.

I also need to find a place to get stuck where I can actually pull myself out. Except.. ih8mud

I finished bending and mocking up the ends to my newer and longer roof rack.

Technically it wasn't the weekend but I had today off so I pulled the old seized AC compressor and put one in I got from Jason (@arcteryx) at Cruiser Yard. Stand up dude. This is a one banana job. While I was in there I replaced the O rings and also replaced the AC drier with a new Denso unit with new O rings.

The old one was original from when I bought my 92 new. Since I am converting to R134 (again...) this needed to be replaced. I should've done this the first time...

I also took some time to address some Kentucky pin striping I had at the bottom of my rear passenger side door. It was a few years old and was down to the bare metal and had started to corrode. I don't have the time or heart to fully commit to Monstalining my 80 and think I am just going to steal @1shot1kill color scheme in the spring. Son I just sanded it down to the metal, wiped it clean with MEK, primed it, and painted it with some semi-gloss rustoleum I had laying around. I will do the driver side tomorrow night. I think it turned out ok. Had a few runs from the wind but I wet sanded them out and it is as smooth as I care for it to be.
