Thanks guys definitely a learning experience. Learned today that you can't use Argon/CO2 mix in the wind. Looks better than it did but still a work in progress.

Oh and was looking at getting a welding spoon but don't really have room to hold it in place while I weld since it is rear quarter.

Removed 20 year old dried left over wax from PO - wow forget how many cracks and crevices there are on FJ60's :) Then compounded, polished, and wax the new baby. Also removed 20 year old useless and worn window film and had ceramic tint installed.

Dried wax was everywhere

Compounding took off lots of dead paint

New wax and tint

Wow that was a diamond in the ruff cruiser!
Look at her shine!!

Yeah - mats arrived! I had these in my 100 and liked them well enough. My new to me 60 had no mats so I was delighted and surprised I could get these in chocolate brown :)

Need to air them out a bit to lose the potent new rubber stench

Fit is decent enough. Please pardon my metro wood beaded front seat cover :)...about to take a long road trip on factory seats.

Prepare for your right leg to go numb.

The last few day I notched the stock cross member to clear the front drive shaft, painted and installed my old school ARB bumper with my upgraded 8274. The 8274 has the 9.5xp motor, upgraded cables.

Are those mats sold in a kit or can you buy it pieces?
They look great!

Prepare for your right leg to go numb.

As long as it's only my right leg going numb I will be happy :)

Thanks for the compliments on the mats guys. Here are the part numbers thru AutoAnything. Lloyd also sells these through other e-tailers as well. Here's the AA page on the mats. http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/79A4424A0A0.aspx

Part #'s below but not sure how legible they are, plus the order confirmation did not distinguish the right pics or description of which mat (front, middle, cargo) goes with which part#. Hope it helps.

The mats are also available via Cruiser Corp. I purchased thru their site and they drop shipped directly from Lloyds. I have them in gray and they look great.

Installed some Climair window deflectors on the rig !! Also took the family around Williamsburg and ran into a fellow cruiser.

All thanks to this forum and the good people behind it !

Got my bumper modded and fitted, packed for a solo trip and set the hammock up at a beautiful site.
First real test of the transfer rebuild, played out awesome!
Pictures are a bit foggy, had just the cell with me.
All photos are taken two or three hours after midnight, had to find a place with some midnight sun shade :)

Is this your first trip in the new cruiser, or do you have another thread going which I missed?
Looks super!
Did you rebuild your garage?

Thanks, pacer!
Due to a lot of insurance issues and legal land paragraphs, the workshop is not back up. Don't know if it will be, hoping for next year, or I'll move and start over.
For now, I'm improvising allot.

I have another thread going on the new rig: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/hj61-cruiser-build.817738/

Got a nice set of BMW seats and then decided to redo the interior as the old carpet was nasty and the new seats made it look even worse!
