It drives great! It did before but have SO much more confidence in this set up. Also threw on the new master cylinder since I had to open up my brake system anyway for the knuckle arms. The MC has been rattling around in my parts drawer for about 8 months. I HATE bleeding brakes!!!

Which led to many other "projects".... Repair and replace Fusible Link after I shorted it out Order Extras... Clean and repair all the ground connections trying to sort out flickering lights....Drive Then... Find out why it stopped idling for no apparent reason...(Carb bolts loosened just enough to introduce a very thin vacuum leak at the base and cause an intermittent idle problem...then wouldn't idle at all....Took forever to find when you're alone, running out of Carb Cleaner and your phone is the only access to the internet for MUD...but gee golly do I ever love this forum!!!) Tune carb to undo all the fiddlin' I did prior... Installed Roof Rack!!! Plot what to do next....
I bought one that had been taken apart and was sitting in a garage on jack stands. The price was right miles low, rust free. The catch was I had to remove by the next day. But was able to pull it off
Swapped out the Aisin decel solenoid on my cousin's new Trollhole for the Saudi one, retimed, plugged a vacuum leak. Miss & hesitation gone, running great. Not sure it's related but it didn't seem to be blowing blue smoke anymore either.
1. Got a box of goodies from SOR.
2. Got notification the headlight harness & extra aux block are on their way (thx ERIK).
3. Got all 4 spacers from Red Line: prepped and mounted spacers, wheels & tires finally mounted (will post pics to my original thread tomorrow).
4. Replaced interior lights & hood release cable.
5. Cleaned contacts and got the horn working.
6. Got the exhaust leak fixed - only to find another one (damn it)
7. Ordered a set of JW Speaker 8700 Evolution headlights.
8. Finally decided on the last two major mechanical mods: 2FE engine and BBK upgrade from Justin @ Red Line.
Not really this weekend, but drove up to Prince Rupert for a new job
Loaded up the 60 to drive from Victoria to Port Hardy to take the ferry up the BC Coast
yup...almost went off a cliff today in the snow until I pulled out the shovel and my roommate and I started digging. best of all was the floormat trick to guarantee that I wouldn't slide back to the edge again. dug out the front of the tires and put down floormats in front of both rears to make sure I wouldn't slide
Found out that my rig doesn't fit in parking garages with a 7'1" height limit... Didn't get any pics of that mainly due too the fact that everyone behind me was pissed off because i had to back up lol. And the weather was great today so I decided to take my dog to the lake for a swim. Don't let her face fool ya...That's not a sad expression, she was just tired from swimming for 2 hours!
Awesome pics, do you wheel with the kiddos in the rig? I've always been afraid to flop with them inside so I've told myself I wouldn't bring them along until I have a cage.
Not judging, just curious what other 60 driving parents think about it.
Got a new thermostat and ALL gaskets from Beno on Friday. DAMN that guy has his crap together! I only wish he was closer and he makes the locals look bad. Regardless, USPS makes sure he's only 2 days away!!!
And after some work and trouble, got the WHOLE housing out. There's a LOOOOONG thread on this you may have seen.
Yeah, they are in the truck, there is nothing we are going through that would cause the truck to flip, just a lot of ditches, small holes and up's and down's. Honestly, I've never been concerned about it. I think you should bring the kids, it gets them excited, and if you get into something that is a potential risk, they can just as easily hop out and watch.
