I went the opposite direction haha. I had a '18 offroad in cement and sold it after I got my 60 series.
Same here! I sold my ‘18 turd-gen for an ‘85 60!I went the opposite direction haha. I had a '18 offroad in cement and sold it after I got my 60 series.

600 miles from Denver to Omaha without missing a beat yesterday, the truck ran perfect the whole way. Amazing what a well tuned 2F can do at 40 years old. 68mph max speed, but hey, it does the job. Verified the HAC worked somewhere around Wray when I dropped below 4000’ elevation and my Air:Fuel gauge changed. Right up to that point it was running super lean though, which is by design: the most oxygen rich air possible with the HAC still active. 16-17.5mpg all day long, so no complaints there.

Cheating! Denver -> Omaha is downhill![]()
Mileage makes more sense now LOL. Lets see the return trip stats!600 miles from Denver to Omaha without missing a beat yesterday, the truck ran perfect the whole way. It’ll be close to that. 4000 feet of elevation loss over 600 miles is enough to make it feel pretty flat. A smogged 2F just runs lean at cruise. Valves and spark plugs suffer long term, but it helps with gas mileage. My temps stay between 185-195* always though, no matter the outdoor temps, uphill or downhill, highway or city.Mileage makes more sense now LOL. Lets see the return trip stats!
Solid. My only experience is with desmogged and I drive it like I stole it. I should probably turn down my timing...It’ll be close to that. 4000 feet of elevation loss over 600 miles is enough to make it feel pretty flat. A smogged 2F just runs lean at cruise. Didn't re-gear. All stock gearing. I daily this thing and gearing feels great. I'm in Atlanta GA so pretty flat. What was the setup before? Regear for this?
I haven't seen it yet. Thanks for the heads up. Let me run them a bitt more and I'll report back.I am having issues with those same wheels. They are rubbing on the tie rod ends when turning. I’ve been told running spacers can cause issues. But it sounds like people are doing it fairly often. Anything I should look out for if I do put spacers on my stock axles?
These things are badass. I just wish they weren’t so boxy. If they made them look like the high-roof model I would like it a whole lot more. But, man, what a cool concept!CAUSE YOLO...
