@iansplatinum pointed out that I did not install the washer/spacer under the hi/lo shift selector. I’ve built a few cases so understand the risk of dropping the selector rod into the case. Also, I always put the washer back on the selector during tear down. Brain farted on this job and did not do that. During a conversation with
@POTATO LAUNCHER he came up with a great suggestion to stick the welding wire to the tip. With my welding skills that’s easier said than done. Typically happens when I don’t want it to do so. After a few attempts it dawned on me I could tack a piece of hanger to the top. Problem solved and the washer is now in its final resting place. I’m sure this has been done before but could not find anything via a google search.
