It’s been 7 years since I painted this. Rarely washed it and never put wax on it. A lot of pin stripping and etch marks on the hood from many different things Mother Nature has to offer. Spent the weekend hitting the paint with 2000 grit paper and a 3-stage buffing process. Hope to get several more years out of this paint.

Wow. What was the 3 stage buffing process? Looks pristine.

Thank you. I use McGuiars product. Start with the 100 compound on a wool pad. Followed by the 85 compound on a medium pad and lastly I polish with a fine foam pad with #82. The key on this job was wet sanding with 1500 and then 2000 grit paper.

Fantastic job. Wet sanding and polishing is an art that everyone thinks they can do, but only a few can do well.
If you ever want to sell this one, call me and I will drive down immediately and stuff your pockets with benjamins.

Thank you. Very true about doing this. I’m still working to improve this process. Been doing it on and off for several decades. The camera makes it look better than my actual skill level. I love dead presidents, but there’s no currency that would get this one from me. However, always glad to build one similar for someone if they are willing to trade several stacks of Benjamin’s :).

Should have provided these pics for reference. Lots of good products out there. Been using this one for years and familiar with what each grade will do.

New 👟 day. Kenda Klever RT in 35x10.5r17.

I’ve got some rubbing on the exhaust where it comes over the rear spring to address. I was able to squeeze the spare up at 25 psi after trimming the excess thread on the sway bar mount bolts. I think some hitches will be an issue. Mine was not thankfully—not sure what kind it is.

What are your lift spec's? Those are the exact tires I want to get after I refresh my suspension. Also, nice to see another Mid-Atlantic Cruiser, I'm in MD.

It’s an old man emu 2” lift heavy duty. Cs004F/cs004R (B spring on passenger side, A spring on the driver to fix the cruiser lean I had). Some call this rear spring ‘medium duty’.

Note: I have an fj62 with an h55f 5 speed manual. I wouldn’t run more than a 33” tire on the auto trans without regearing the diffs.

Those are the same springs I have sitting in my garage ready to replace my 20+ year old OME springs that don’t have much spring left to them. I also have a shackle reversal and 2” body lift. I’m planning to remove the body lift but hope to still be able to fit 35s.

I have a H55 as well and I’m already geared for 35’s. The truck originally came with 35’s but they were mud terrains, the PO had some 33 all terrains on another cruiser so he swapped those for me. My plans for the truck were to go back to 35s but skinny All terrains.

They’re White Knuckle Off-road sliders just with no nerf bars
I didn’t realize these were Klever RTs when you showed me on IG. I’m kind of interested in those. We’ll need a full report soon!

I can tell you they’re awesome and quiet on the road but they’re also brand new and it’s compared to my old BFG KM2s. Those started womp’ing at 35 mph. I can hear music now on the highway

hey, those Klever RTs come in a 33x9.5 R15 too… @NearJetties are they 3pmsf snow rated too? their site just says designed for snow and studdable but doesn't explicitly specify
