Missed the second day of trail riding of the SSS2020 because I had to crack open the t-case and make a minor adjustment. Discovered Friday afternoon that the t-case would not shift out of low range. Great bunch of guys from Searcy, AR offered up shop space, assistance, a tow so that I would not have to make the repair in the field. The high-low shift fork had too much vertical movement and had slipped down and out of the slot in the shift rod. We shimmed it with an extra washer.

Completed the repair and caught up with the Pig crew at Long Pool rec area in the Ozark National Forest later that evening.

Trip to Mojave. My 62, a 4Runner and two four door jeeps. Firs time there. The place is friggin amazing. Camped first night at Caruthers Canyon and then night two at Kelso Dunes. Two totally different scenes, both equally awesome.

Visited my '84 FJ60 in Nevada, but still didn't get a chance to drive it. Other than that all I can report is that I delivered six FJ60 OEM chrome wheels to @mcguirejohnson in Fort Collins for @CenTXFJ60 last week just before heading to the Denver airport for the flight to Las Vegas. Just flew back to Denver late tonight. Things went smoothly until we got to the parking garage - flat tire on my '09 Silverado. Just like the last time I rotated the tires, I couldn't get the alloy wheel off of the hub. Luckily we had decided to park in the covered garage, the bright lights and dry pavement made changing the tire bearable, even at 10:00 PM and 28 degrees F. Check out my Post #87 here Builds - 1994 4Runner project for a link to a tip for removing a stuck wheel.

Have started the re-assembly and desmog process after getting my parts from @ToyotaMatt for my intake manifold. Finished up the install of my new @OTRAMM exhaust . Also cleaned up my valve cover. Only problem is now it makes other items in the engine bay look tired :(. @ToyotaMatt, love the switches above! I'm ordering fog lights this week so let me know when these switches are ready to purchase or if you need someone to test.

Awesome! perfect for a otherwise stock 62 that just wants something simple like extra lights.

Nothing fancy, no trips, or cool additions/mods....just replaced the front OME bushings on the shackles and lubricated them and the rear shackles.

Found a pair of Hella 500 driving lights in the parts stash and mounted them on the ARB. They offer only marginal increase in light output over the Toyota H4 setup but may help at night in the woods.

Wish there was a convenient pillar mount for ditch lights. I'm thinking to mount them under the roof rack. I don't like that situation where the headlights are shining towards outer space and the trail disappears. I don't need to light up the desert for miles, just the near stuff when the trail is easy to loose.

This weekend I finished up my front bumper project. The truck came with a giant winch bumper that probably weighed 180lbs. I cut it up and re-welded the pieces into something much more reasonable. My first welding project. It's far from perfect, but I learned a lot (mostly what NOT to do).

Threw a set of vintage Bosch square driving lights on there. I think they tie the front end together really nicely.
