Picked up some rusty chrome wheels. A lot of elbow grease, but they are getting there.

Perfect 3 Day weekend for this swap. Bought the Premium Holley Sniper Kit from "Mosley Motors" Great Kit High Quality parts and Accessories.
I had the services of a good friend to help with the electrical bits. Electrical anything intimidates the hell out of me. So the intent was to get it done in a day.
We did, it was a good 11 hrs. of quality wrench time. I didn't document a damn thing just a pic of the after. I'll need to hook up a return spring and do a little pedal adjustment. Biggest difference right out of the gate is throttle response! for now it'll be drive and adjust, let the unit learn. 100% satisfied.
 ✌ .

I’m thinking of doing this over the winter. Did you have any issues? I know there are some other threads on here about this install but how’s the fuel mileage? This looks like a really great setup, especially the all inclusive kit.

I see lots of new hardware. Re-plated or new?
A mix of new bolts from Toyota and replated ones. Silver are new from Toyota, yellow are replated ones (zinc chromate).

No Issues really, Some of the wires in the Holley kit were too short and had to be lengthened for the routing we took. Still fooling around adjusting the pedal and playing around with the Sniper Tuning. Pay attention to the Fuel supply and Return Lines. I had them mixed up initially. Haven't driven enough to get a good take on mileage not really expecting a huge jump. The Premium Kit From "Mosley Motors" is top notch. Best of luck to you if you get to this this winter.

Various locations along the Alpine Loop, Telluride looking at Black Bear pass, and Imogene Pass. All in the San Juan’s in CO. It’s hard to drive just because you feel like you need to stop and take a photo every 5 min! 😆

I knew it!!!! Would know that place anywhere. ;) ;):)

Is that 556 or 308?
308...I think its the best way to go when hunting hogs. Placement is important, but not critical as it is with 556. Not to brag, but that one took it directly in the heart and just sat down.

Never hire a cheap lawyer
Never show up early to your own execution
Never buy a cheap brake booster

When I bought my rig the brake booster was inoperative. I installed a cheap aftermarket and while braking improved, I was jealous of the folks on this forum that spoke about being able to lock up their brakes.
Anyway, two years later the cheap aftermarket booster went “pop” and”hiss” so I was full human power braking. Rather scary but I’ve been through worse.
Bought a replacement booster from CityRacer and the improvement was dramatic. I can lock “me up and the brake modulation is fantastic.
Apparently I lost my brake booster tool in my move to New England so I fashioned one up from stuff in the basement.

Howdy, All,

I know it's not the weekend anymore, but I've been putting in a few hours in the evenings. Began to disassemble the interior of my truck. Pulled up the rear carpet and removed the cargo cards. Found almost no rust (already treated the minimal rust in the exterior of the outer wheel wells). I've been using "Black Star" rust converter in a rattle can, then adding a top coat... herculiner in the exterior wells. Seems to be a good combo so far. Going to treat the minimal interior rust with Black Star then add fatmat throughout. All of this is to prepare for an all over carpet install (carpet provided by David @dnp ). Started taking the seats out. Just going to leave the driver's seat as this is my DD.

When I got my cargo cards out, they were toast. Cut some new ones. Anyway, lots of good stuff going on. I want to thank the members at this forum. The information that you have gathered here over the years is a goldmine!

Here are few pics:
New cards... drying after waterproofing. The middle card on the driver's side was the only one worth saving, which was great. That one would have been more difficult to make.

I've got to WD-40 my floor to get the old carpet glue off before installing the fatmat.

Lots of dirt but no rust...

The other well was the same. Thank goodness.

Ok. I'll stop there.

With all my best,
O.N.
