They look like Recaro Trophies that came in the late model MkII 16v VW GTI and Jetta GLI (from about 1990-1992). They're fantastic seats.

Thank you! I can maybe find a solution to the spinning wheel and continuous backwards lean.

We linked up with four other vehicles from Colorado Land Cruisers. Took Medano Pass to the Great Sand Dunes and the weather was perfect.

Had some daylight left so we stayed on dirt as long as possible on the return leg by heading into San Isabel NF in the Wet Mountains. Ended up in the clouds with accumulating sleet and snow. It was 8 PM and I was low on gas when we got back to pavement.

Met a bunch of fine folks and had a blast.

That's an adventure! Looks like a lot to fun.

Thanks - the adventure level was pushing the edge of my comfort zone.

Yesterday was the most seat time I ever had in the FJ60. The factory seat foam is shot and my butt is sore. I have a case of envy regarding those seats of yours.

Took #FitzJ60 and the boy out for a night.

Might be hard to tell from the photos but the difference between the west side of the cascades and top is pretty remarkable.

I saw another near twin while i was out this weekend.

He had a slee bumper for the 60. I was jealous.

Medano Pass heading West is a very cool trail Jim. Once you hit the summit and start down towards the dunes every turn is just awesome. Dispersed camping is nice up there too. Might need to do that again.

That was our 3rd trip over Medano and have enjoyed each of them. The trail is always different - water level, condition of the sand, what flowers are blooming...etc. And the dunes are surreal.

If you ever decide to run Medano again, let me know. Don't think we'll ever get tired of it.

The white FJ40 in the photos is the '79 I bought new. Sold to a friend a couple of years ago.

Replaced my busted gas tank vent bracket and fuel vapor separator. Didn't intend to replace separator but had to because the replacement vent hose piece I bought second hand has different size nipples. 60s and 62s are different, FYI. Fortunately the junk 60 I've been taking parts off hadn't been hauled away yet so I was able to nab that piece.

Here's a new start up company call LC America that is planning to to import Cruises like this into the United States from over sea. This one is a 2017 FJ79 with V8 turbo diesel with manual transmission, front coil springs, leaf springs in the read and solid axles. They think that they well have all their paperwork and some EPA and safety up grade completed by September of 2018. LC America plan on also up grading tires, suspension, off road lights, front bumper and more. Price will be about 70-80k.
