Went up an ATV trail to one of my favourite little lakes, then drove up to Cape Scott for a walk on the beach. 3 days -- torture tested the new suspension, checked the range of the new fuel tank, ate dust, spat dust, hate dust, paradise of the dashboard view.
Recaro bucket seats - most comfortable I've ever been in any vehicle ever.

No, standing up in a canoe is usually followed by swimming. Too cold for that.

Did you paint that by hand? They look great.
yeah - check this out
oil based sharpie - super simple.

lots of cleaning first..then wiping down really well with either lacquer thinner or denatured alcohol - make sure the rubber is really clean and oil free...then just kinda carefully paint on new white paint.

there's an even larger tip Sharpie than this one that might even work better.

I had my rig towed in for service.:(
Why? Because it won't start and I have no time to work on it for the next 4 weeks. It's my DD so getting it fixed quickly is kind of important. But I've got to say, it sucks to admit that sometimes the smartest decision is to have a quality shop do the work for you.

To top it off I'll be driving a Ford Ranger for the week. An old Ranger. A two wheel drive Ranger. A Four cylinder Ranger. Not a 'king cab' extended cab Ranger. It's a manual but believe it or not, it has less 'get up and go' than a 2F/3F. It does get great gas milage though.

@cruiserpilot - What Recaro seats do you have installed (a picture maybe)? I've had them in other cars (mostly old BMWs) and I love them but I never really considered them for my rig.

I have no idea what vintage these are. Bought them from a burnt FJ62 ( Hell hath no fury like a short circuit in an LS3!! )
They have only a infinite side wheel adjustment for pitch, and it infinitely turns, so as I drive my gansta' profile increases.
But the seat comfort is unbelievable. Firm but total support. Both for $100 :flipoff2:

Recently added some tie downs and poly finished plywood to finish up my fridge slide/table setup.

Added this Blue Sea switch panel in my rear cargo area for camp lights on the rack and an LED strip I put in the awning. The color and size is perfect, it looks like it belongs there plus the switches are protected from accidental activation.

Adhesive LED strip in the aluminum channel the poles fold into. I drilled a small hole in the aluminum for the wires to come out the back side, but didn’t want to have a hole in the cover so the wires come out between the zipper pulls next to one of the rack mounts. It’s pretty ridiculously bright. Maybe too much so.

Went to overland expo west. Went hunting for Land Cruisers. Found some real nice ones. Most of attendees had 80 series with roof tents. 60 series were in short supply ☹️. But I did find some Cruisers that were from the 40 and 70 series that made me cream the jeans.

We linked up with four other vehicles from Colorado Land Cruisers. Took Medano Pass to the Great Sand Dunes and the weather was perfect.

Had some daylight left so we stayed on dirt as long as possible on the return leg by heading into San Isabel NF in the Wet Mountains. Springtime in the Rockies - ended up in the clouds with accumulating sleet and snow. It was 8 PM and I was low on gas when we got back to pavement.

Met a bunch of fine folks and had a blast.
