Camped along the Verde River, enjoyed a campfire under a full moon, and found a Beneli shotgun buried in the mud.

Double checked everything before handing the keys over to the designer of the SAS logo, aka my older brother. He is driving it to Ouray, CO. next week for our inogural event. This will give him time to get acquainted with chokes and manual windows again..
Now I'm stuck driving my 40 until we leave.
Aweful I know....
Oh yeah your stuck having to drive the 40 lol. Be glad there's no snow yet.

Installed my recently machined cylinder head w/ its new valves from @reevesci, new head bolts, push rods and rocker assembly. Added her cover till more tmrw after work. Busy day. Satisfied and wiped.

Nah, it was completely seized up and very rusty. Plus, knowing my luck, it was used in some sort of crime which is why it was left out there.
But it's still way cool, I'd keep it but I'm a total magpie for weird hiking finds. Once I was out hiking on state land a few years back and found a really nice compound bow and a few arrows. It had been there a bit cuz the hard plastic parts had rodent chew marks on them. I talked to a friend who's husband was a big hunter about it and went back later and snagged it. Whoever left it out there was using it illegally... my excuse to myself for selling it later. ;)

I'm sure it'll be there when I go back. I was in a pretty remote spot. I think the recent monsoons had carried it down to were I found it from a higher elevation.

A few weekends back i installed an aluminess Galley box where the single Jerry can basket/flip ladder goes...
The box dimensions are 24W x 16D x 30H.... This gives me lots of storage space and ease of access... without having to open the tailgate..
I can also configure it depending on what type of trip I'm off too, but for the most part, water, fuel, propane, tools and other bulky camping items will go in there...
The box IS weather proof, as it was tested on several dusty, and muddy environment during the last trip

The trade off was losing the rear view, but if you ever driven a 5 ton or 18 wheeler...... then this is not such a big deal...

awesome pics guys!

barramundi is a bloody big fish...

For those Noobies that red thing is a HighLift/Jackall being used as it can be used, As a winch. very cool shot.

And it very rarely works in mud like that... good for Curt for having good length straps and chains though.
