Double checked everything before handing the keys over to the designer of the SAS logo, aka my older brother. He is driving it to Ouray, CO. next week for our inogural event. This will give him time to get acquainted with chokes and manual windows again..
Now I'm stuck driving my 40 until we leave.
Aweful I know....

What....why?

The girlfriend and I are planning on moving to Hawaii at some point, and selling the cruiser would allow me to pay off all my debts 100% and not have to worry about things for a while. I also have a Lexus gx470 I off road in as well, the cruiser is just a toy.

Sell the Lexus, keep the 62.

Just sayin...

You ever been wheeling before? That stuffs going to go everywhere.

My cruiser is more of a spectator. I've taken it to wheeling events... other guys have called it a "cream puff" I think I've put it in 4-Hi once... I don't even know why.

It'll probably stay at the camp and I'll ride b!tch with someone.

Hey, our new '84 FJ60 was referred to as "The Cadillac" when we showed up at our first Southern Nevada Land Cruisers meeting. One of our first wheeling adventures netted us a large dent in the rear quarter panel, from there on it was "Rough trails, bring 'em on!", the fear of body damage was in the past. That set us up pretty well for the rough runs at our first Glitter Gulch Gambol and many club trips to follow.

This is your opportunity :-).

Over a few weekends put 5,500 miles with zero issues on the road :).. (other than the AC quit working for a couple of days... not bad for a vortec. Average 16 mpg, and found out that at 85mph it dropped to 13mpg.) saw tons of great places, met great folks with lots of hand waves , compliments, and thumbs up along the way...

The best part was going to a couple of particular spot were 4WD and hi clearance was needed...

Going under the rig now and check for loose bolts... already see the steering box has a leak.....

Thanks @Dynosoar for the quick over the phone on how to trouble shoot the ac fan resistor....

MUD ROCKS...!!

They all fresh once... I remember my first dents!

proceeding with clutch master and slave cylinder replacement.....

Also using a new steel braided hose between both components...

fun fun~~

Building brackets for the Bundutec awning which I will mount this upcoming week.
Also a small aluminum box for two jerry cans on the rear swing out arms.
This will also have a little table when swung out so that we will have a little extra counter space for stuff.

installed new overflow tube from radiator to bottle with new bottle cap
and installed the plastic protector around the coil...

Went for a cruise enjoying the cooler weather

then worked on the heep (yes the other Vehicle) >.>

anyway

Week-end is almost over
