I tap right into the AC idle up port on the intake manifold
My idle is set to 1000 rpm. Vacuum is 16.5 Hg so adjusted for 5000 ft at 1" per thousand ft I would expect to see about 20.5 at your elevation. I believe 17-22 is considered normal.

That's good stuff man. I'm still chasing some lost vacuum. I have an idea where it's escaping. I'll update when I find it.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the paint job cost?

Done right. Windows removed, sanded. I had no rust in the quarter panels but did have 2 spots under the back windows. Ended up not being as bad as expected.

Wasn't this weekend, or even last weekend, but about a month ago I met a buddy in South Carolina on Friday night and we did most of the Georgia Traverse. He ended up having to leave right after breakfast on Sunday morning, so that left me to do a good portion by myself. I had a great time out there with him and his boys, but also had a blast by myself. It had the feeling of "adventure" for me not knowing what I was coming up against. Luckily, there weren't any hard sections I came across that I didn't feel comfortable traversing alone...except one place, and I turned around. Better safe than sorry when out there alone without any kind of cell coverage.

Anyway, here's a link to my writeup for that trip if anyone is interested. I broke it into 2 different sections, so the first link is for day one and the second link is for day 2. Hope you enjoy it.

Day 1:
The Georgia Traverse: Day 1

Day 2:
The Georgia Traverse: Day 2
