Unfortunately no. I ran out of time and money. It's close but not done. Need about another 2 or 3 weeks. Will be in the 40
Sounds good man, look forward to meeting you and hearing more about your build. I want to put a diesel in mine one day when the 3fe gives up the ghost.

Knuckles went from shabby to sexy!

Full front axle overhaul with the Terrain Tamer kit and 4Runner calipers. Also splurged on some DBA rotors.

What a nasty job but she sure looks good now. Unfortunately, I broke one of my brake lines so I gotta wait until tomorrow to get it fixed and back n the road.

Geared up ready to go:

Replaced all wheel studs with OEM from @beno - thanks man! They showed up just in time.

Great job on those seats! they look awesome. That is not a first time right? Looks like the old foam, did you pack in some more where you had some gaps? And the fabric, does it come pre stitched along the faces or your handiwork too?

I've covered a few sets of seats in my day. Pretty easy to do though. I build the seats up with jute padding. Similar to what you see on the back seat in the pic. These were made by a local upholster company that I no longer do business with. They are almost identical to the CruiserCorps covers. IMO, the CC covers are better made and I like the OEM pull/tack through attachments they make into their covers.

Added some side view gaskets (reevesci,) 4RUNNER wipers (beno) and had a custom receiver fabbed and installed by Trollhole. Trollhole also rid me of the Smog Spaghetti and performed some other odds and ends. So far, I'm very pleased with their work and would recommend them. Same goes for the vendors mentioned above. Pleasure to work with.

Pulled rope off the winch for the first time since I can't remember when. No, wasn't wheeling, just pulling an old stump for an elderly friend. Not even exciting enough to take pictures of but the stump didn't stand a chance.

Amazing what some elbow grease, a scrub brush and simple green will do.... oil cooler does not appear to be leaking as previously noted by a mechanic at a garage. Replaced the tacky, soft, bubbly radiator hose to it and the lower rad hose, refilled system and no leaks. Water temp way way low now tho I have good heat; I know it could be the gauge tho it was fine previously. Maybe the sender?
Nothing leaking from the fuel pump either as I thought as a possibility to all the nasty oil/gunk built up on the filter housing, oil cooler and that hose. Scrubbed the 1/4" of crud off the PSGB and surround and after a drive it does appear like it needs to get rebuilt. The bag of seals next to me resembles spaghetti... And from the looks of the directions I might need something for anxiety prior to that chore.
I also discovered that the high pitch squeal I have heard at start up (ACC) is the rear wiper motor. Up till tonight it would stop once key was turned to ignition but tonight it squealed intermittently while I test drove to where I fill up on spring water. Top of the list to disconnect that thing tomorrow.

Machined up a new mainshaft, squared up dogs, poor old Thomas PTO winch must have seen some abuse in the past

Pulled the front spring pack to replace a broken leaf. Removing that pin was really a bear...ended up using a pipe wrench to basically unscrew it from the leaf/bushing, even after the nut was removed.

Drove her home after buying her this week.....went through desmog and some other things to get a feel of what previous owner completed and how it looks. Changed out window stickers...hahahaha....now working on adjusting carb, setting timing, converting AC coolant, and adjusting clutch pedal so it engages sooner in the stroke. Should be enough for this week/end.

Is that @WHG423's old truck?

Now that the engine rebuild is done and back in, I needed some tunes so that I could start driving it again. I put in a Delphi heavy duty deck, a 2000w amp, flush mount door speakers,2 6x9s and a sub woofer. I will experiment with different trims to fill the gap around the deck. I just stuffed foam in there for now. I didn't want to cut up my rear panels, so that is the reason for the boxes. With the boxes I can move them around or take them out depending on how much space I need. For as much room as our cruisers have inside, I was really surprised at the limited space for mounting an amp. I gave up storage for my jack under the seat, but I use a soft tool bag for all that stuff anyway so I can move it from vehicle to vehicle.

Hmmm, well not so much this weekend, but several over the past few months....Body work to replace rusty wheel wells, rattle can Plasti-dip in Ammo green, new tires, rebuilt front and rear brakes, lots o' powder coating, new springs, shocks, tie rod/relay rod and ends, u-bolt flip kit, a weak attempt to get a few more years out of my rusty frame by scraping and converting the rust, then painting it (I know futile at best), new water pump, oil pan, radiator, clutch slave.....I think that's all. Now it's time to enjoy her again after years of neglect. Oh wait, I have to re-do the oil pan since the gasket is leaking (arggghhhh).
