Just to set everything straight both of your 55's are way better then my old pig. It was ground breaking for its time but I started it 7 years ago, Feb 2004. Lots of new ideas in my head, and I really need to start a new project. Too little time and space, but I really have my eye on something if I can make it work. Still feeling out the offroad stuff here in Texas to determine what I want to build next.

Scott you need to bring that rig to the all toyota event in Gilmer TX jan 14th 15th & 16th. I'll be there with my buddy in his rig. I'd lov to look at yours up close. Hog Wash about starting a new project the econemy is too bad for that. Just tie up any lose ends on your rig and rock it. You really have a sweet rig keep it forever. i'm in no compitition with any one. My rig would look this nice if it hadden been for yours. I got most of my inspiration from you truck.

Do you have any more info on the event in Gilmer? It is about 6 1/2 hours away don't want to drive the 55 that far, so not sure if I will make it. I sold my tow rig for the 55, and haven't bought a new one yet.

This is a great time to start a new project. You can get a new rig for a good price, and it keeps me in the shop instead of out spending money. ;-)

Will you have your truck ready by then? That would be awesome!

Ryan

I'm not going to have mine ready yet. It took two long in paint. This is the biggest Toyota event in TX were taking my friends 100 with the slee SAS. I'm driving his F350 pulling a low boy with nothing on it. I got to pick up a fj40 top from a guy comming from IL. Last year was a blast I ever met the owner of MUD. Lots of cool give aways vinders and its a party. Look it up online.

Wash and punch list

I just moved to Texas and my 55 was delivered 12/22. I knew I had a lot of little things to wrap up that I had been noticing since I bought it back from Eric, earlier this year. Things were so hectic in Denver that they never got tended to and then I moved down here and left the 55 in Moab, where it had a lot of "unsupervised" use. Meaning I let my family use it, knowing that they wouldn't fix any of the problems that I mentioned to them.

So today was the first day I had to wash it and go over every nut and bolt and make a punch list. Lots of things to do.

- Rear pinion seal is out, I think the vent is clogged.
- Steering gear box is leaking like crazy
Need to pull it and have it sent to WTO and have it rebuilt and ported for hydro assist
- Right longfield is clicking
- Front passenger door doesn't open from the outside anymore?
- Finish the upholstering the rear seat and door panels
- Install 3/8-1/2" taller hood bumptops
- Install 1.5" lift blocks in the rear until I decide on custom springs or a rear 4 link
- Front limit straps
- Change/lower front airbumps

When does it end? haha!

I'll be in well close to your neck of the woods in the morning. I'm going to Wimberly TX to pick up another 55 in the morning. It is a rust bucket but it has a clean title.
I got a Idea for a project for you that would be the s _ _ t on your rig. ROOF RACK Not some store bought crap but a bad custom job roof rack.
Is that a Farrari I see?
