paying $175 for a ball valve.
When shopping for something less than $175 look for seal and seat both PTFE, easy to find PTFE seat and Buna or EPDM seal and depending on your California style Gas you could have an issue long term.
These valves have PTFE seals and seats and are about $3.00

The welds on this radiator look pretty good to me (I'm no expert). It bolted RIGHT in, hoses lined up perfectly. It is so rare that one can find a 55 specific substantial part of such high quality that I had to have it and don't mind paying more than Chinese copy would cost. I had resigned myself, years ago, to having to re-core my original radiator, which I've done 3 times now because there were no new replacements. I was unaware of the Mosley radiator until I saw a link on 'Mud, I jumped on it. One thing that the Pig has taught me: parts are not going to get any cheaper or easier to get. And now I've got a spare radiator, I'll get it rodded and put it away for later. I've pressure tested it twice, no leaks. Drained the garden hose water and refilled with green coolant. Made my own burping funnel...

No. Google Mosley motors, click radiators.

What I did with my Pig...Rubithon!
I didn't take a lot of pics, my hands were usually busy. My Shotgun took some, we'll wait for him to post.
Some teasers

Yes, Rubithon, on THE Rubicon Trail. The toughest trail in my neck of the woods. And it gets harder every year. Went with the Wednesday Wagon Wun, twenty-something rigs including 2 FJ Cruisers and a Taco. An 80 lost front drive just before Little Sluice and had to be tugged to Buck. 12 hours Loon to Buck.
I lost power steering at Buck in the morning but fixed it quick. Friggin' trail is tough. I do not like off-camber much. Rubicon does not care. There were a good 3 or 4 times I knew I was gonna flop (but did not). The Pig amazed me with how well it handled obstacles. Made some hard lines look easyish and made me look like a decent driver. The secret winning formula is gears. Granny first gear and 2 transfer cases in low range, just an occasional touch of front ARB and we spanked that trail. There was a bunch of times I was wondering why I was doing this, the exhilaration of winning this tough battle is probably it.
New radiator/helper fan worked well, don't think it ever hit 200 f. And it was warm up there.
I didn't need a tug or a winch, I did get some rocks stacked a few times, but who doesn't?

I attempted body work to fix that door hinge. Learned a few things. #1. I have no idea what im doing. #2. Turn the welder down. #3. Bring back bullying because if someone was like "youre too stupid you shouldnt do that" i wouldnt have ruined this door.

BUT. Lots more welding. And more grinding tomorrow. And MAYBE it will look semi decent and function. We will see. If not - ISO passenger front door or half doors near arizona. Lol

I just spent all Sunday welding my exhaust on an LS swap and there is definitely an inverse relationship between ability and grinder work. But you know the saying: F around and find out! It’s all good as long as you enjoy the ride!
