Prop shafts out, engine and gearbox lifted and out, just left with a rolling chassis.
As regards to the prop shaft, the spider joints feel well rough. The replacement is a 32 x 90, however I noticed on the existing spider joint/ UJ that there are no circlips holding the shells in place….is that the norm?

I did…what you see there is the temporary stabilising of the engine to the pallet as one of the casters decided collapse ! I’ve now welded up an angle iron trolly with HD casters…..but yes I see your alarm bells ringing

Installed a wolfbox today.
Vastly increases visibility in the rear of my truck with added benefits of a dash cam, compass and GPsS calculated speed in MPH (mine clusters is kms)

I FAILED AS A PARENT (or so I thought).
Although I’ll readily admit that I owned a few Land Rovers back in the day (I made a lot of bad decisions back then), I corrected that oversight by surrounding my kids, during their “formative years” with Land Cruisers.
My youngest daughter, however pulls into the driveway in this abomination last night. I didn’t let her park near my Toyota (I didn’t want my Land Cruiser to start leaking oil out of sympathy). After the initial shock, she informed me that it was just a rental while her SUV is being repaired from an unfortunate encounter with a deer (so there’s still hope ).

You should probably check the wheel bearings also.

Yep, everything is going to looked at closely.
Here’s the front spring shackles taken off…or at least cut off and driven out.
You can see the eye has clearly had a plate welded where it had worn through the eye… I shall be cutting both eyes out and replace with a turned tube to match as the corrosion is dreadful. A bit like the rusted rotor .

Almost finished installing a sub-tank in the Troopy. I still need to wire up the transfer pump and a fuel gage.

Debating whether or not to tie the sender into the main fuel gage with a switch that would change the signal from one tank to the other or get an independent gage for the second tank. If the latter, the issue is where to cleanly mount the gage and what gage to use...

I also need to figure out a timer for the pump as I'm sure I'll forget and leave it on, risking the pump running dry and/or over filling the main tank.

You could use a vertical float switch to cut out the pump when nearly empty….
