It stays connected on 1 side and that keeps it from flopping down................I like the design with the lynch pins for ease of disconnect, but will the leaf spring hit the lynch pin on compression?

In a continuing series of good decisions, I put my new tires and wheels on. Nevermind that half of the dash doesn't function, all of my shackle bushings are non existent, one broken wheel stud and I think I only have front brakes!
I like that. It's so close to the hinge point that it won't put too much weight on the door/hinges or require a swing out.
More details please. Are these 'optional oem Jerry can hinges' readily available? What else did you have to do to mount the jack there? I was going to re-mount my jack on my front bumper, but yeah, with the winch there's a lot of weight up there. I like this solution.

Yeah, took me awhile to land a set of 5 JDM -20's. Then deciding which grey wasn't fun, but I'm very happy with how they turned out.
One swingout over the wide door can carry the spare, 2X5gal's, shovel, jack, and jerk strap but it is a bit of work to get the jack off if you need it. His solution for the highlift is nice.
Here ya go lads! Just grab some bolts, use some tubing as spacers and widen the holes in the hinges a wee bit. Don’t forget to use nylon nuts and lock washers. The parts were a lot
less from Amayama than Cruiser Parts (I think it was them where I saw them on their site super expensive).
You could actually just weld a tab onto your existing hinges though, but hey, who doesn’t like shiny new oem parts?
I also did a full day of pretty hard wheeling and that jack wasn’t going anywhere….. until you back into a tree and smoosh it into your door, heh.

Came home and started to disassemble the front bumper.
Winch rollers need paint, among other things.

Just the other day I piicked up my truck after it had some extended spa time in a few different spots......We drove it approximately 3,442 miles on a convoluted rte/schedule from Arizona back to Vermont. slow and smooth to ensure a trouble free break in/reacquaintance. (slow is smooth and smooth is fast)

Was able to install a head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay with only a moderate amount of bleeding in our 70 series Prado. Hand slipped and got cut on something in the dash. Didn’t have to modify the dash at all and was able to use the stock brackets.
