Exhaust manifold hardware was toasted...

Studs being replaced with 2UZ exhaust manifold studs: 90116-12008:

Coupled with 1FZ down pipe lock nuts 90080-17187:

Exhaust manifold hardware are all M10x1.25

Bolts being replaced with 1FZ exhaust pipe hardware: 90080-10204

Two long bolts are from 2F upper to lower manifold mating hardware. 90101-10486 mated with 94512-01000 split washer and some generic flat washer.

Perfect length with good engagement with head for the long manifold boss:

Installed roof rack. 84” rack off Amazon . Trimmed and refit to 78”. Electrical u-strut channel. Bolted direct to roof with rubber backing and copius amounts of rtv. Roof rack secured to U-strut with channellocking conduit clamps. PVC pipe clamped to side is my fishing rod case.

Another piece of the puzzle:

Original 3-core brass Toyo Rad going under surgery. Will become a 4-core brass radiator.

After 35 years, enough was enough. And a good call too. It was plugged up like hell with grit and nastiness.

Radiator guy stated that someone put in some sort of radiator stop leak or HG stop leak in the past. But it was in great shape otherwise for being so old... “Those Toyota guys really know how to make these things to last...” was his comment.

Who knows with the sketchy history of these gray market trucks. Can’t wait for good cooling on the way. Should have it back by early next week. :)

Intake arms look nasty. Lack of valuable adjustment early in life. Too bad the arms are discontinued. :crybaby: I’m hoping there is enough material for machine shop to clean up.
