Finally got to installing some auxiliary amber lights that were take offs from a JDM HZJ77. Both were tested and work good. Also installed an OEM light switch (thanks Beno).

Light bar is a KC brand that is for a Jeep. Happened to be a direct bolt on for those of you that have the porch front bumpers with a factory winch. No drilling holes or any modifications to the bumper.

Need to work on the wiring some more though.

Bad news: During my drive home from work last Friday in the FJ73, the clutch release slave cylinder decided to go out, leaving me unable to shift.

Good news: When it went out, I was pulling into my driveway.

I ordered a new one and took the day off from work to install it since I needed a day off anyways. All good now.

Tested the Maltec 79 series wheeling in 100°+ temp with the AC on high.

Wow my 1st 70 series and Im hooked it is BAD A$$. For the past 25 years I have been wheeling gas with an auto. Because of the Maltec quality set up it took me no time to get in the groove of a 1HDT 5speed. With 33" and 4.30 gears it a mini tractor that gives a driver confidence at the wheel. The vehicle is sure footed and never felt top heavy at ALL. Because of the narrow track I feel in lot of the Arizona trails it would benefit with swaybar disconnects because articulation seamed limited to what I grown accustom to in my 80 series.

Some take aways
The temp gauge never move excellent for any vehicle this time of year in Arizona
Never felt tippy
No need heal toe because of the gearing and the torque even on stopped on a climb just let out the clutch and she pull without any hesitation.
I would wheel this anywhere anytime with confidence.
The set up is well designed and balanced.

On my report because I did not use the factory locker I have been ask to up my game and return for some tougher terrain and test the locker, arm twisted.

I did ask if I F'd it up would they make be buy it. The answer was no and came as a big disappoint to me because I had a plan:grinpimp:

^^
Level of want = off the chart.

Quality of build and design is also off the charts. Even after 10 years of builds Maltec looks and wants feedback looking for any way to improve a already awesome product.

So is this Maltec for sale in the US? Where from? What year is this truck?
