The 60 does look good I have a 61 on my front lawn less engine but I have a 2h and turbo sitting in the shed. Food for thought and one very pissed if I go this way.

Loaded it up and took it out for it's first camping trip.

First Impressions:

• Love the room in the back, easy to load/unload.
• Slept in the back, plenty of room for me to stretch out, w/dog at my feet, still had room.
• NA 3B pulling long hills at elevation = Sloooow (no surprise) but If we end up keeping this...I'll have to do something about that, either engine upgrade or 3B-T.

Did a beautiful float on Saturday and again on Sunday, used the troopy as the shuttle vehicle.

That's fantastic, Owyhee. Recall the advantages of a slow car, if I may: possibility of speeding tickets significantly reduced, ample time to enjoy the scenery and avoid the silliness of other drivers. Happy to see people fall for their Cruisers.

Thanks 61Mk+ , another thing I forgot to note, used 1/2 a tank of fuel...our 80 would have used a full tank.

Painted a bunch of stuff like skid plates, steering shaft and brackets that bolt to the block (alternator, a/c, etc.)
Epoxy primer yesterday, color today. Also unwrapped new motor mounts.

Added more overhead storage. A buddy of mine bought a lot of these things from an online military surplus site. Thought he was getting 1 and he got a lot of ten. Plan is to keep the sleeping bags and pillows up there, out of the way and out from under the dog.

Spent today helping a mate with a 1HZ converted BJ73. Fitted a TJM steel winch-compatible bullbar, removed the 2 inch body lift, removed the 2 inch extended shackles. Felt odd to spend a day mostly de-modifying a vehicle but looked and drove much better afterwards.
