If you ask me, I think it was a bit over priced but it is a nice looking cruiser.

I am not sure on the doors. Mine is pretty identical to that one (both are Colombian imports, LHD, soft top without the doors that have the removable frames) I think it is a South American thing.
 
Hello from Vietnam, today I just installed OME front and rear suspension. I don't know if I got the right kit for my Land Cruiser or not, This is the OME N77 front and N79 on the back, it goes with 2872 and 2873 springs. The ride is significantly better but since it lifted the LC about 2 inches it a bit wobble on an uneven road.
I'm thinking about moving up a tire size from 31inch tire to a bigger 33 inches. Do you guys have good experience with those Cooper tires ?

Looks good. If you have a wobble now, it may be the front knuckles now need a rebuild cause you have
shifted them from there wear spots, usually when something new goes on the old worn shows up. With the
coils I don't know about whether castor angle has changed, I only know leaf springs and with the OME
kit in my 60 I had to add a 2.5 deg shim. You need a set of mud tires and you are good to go!

Finally got my Mk1 MR2 wheel installed and cleaned. As far as I know, this particular variant was only avalible on the the face lifted t-top with leather option. most other Toyota wheels say the model on the horn button. I did have to trim the colum cover to fit the wheel boss, otherwise it fit nice and snug.
 
@bachquang. You will need a caster sweep to determine how much caster correction is needed.

For every 1" of lift, you will need approx. 1.7* of positive caster correction. Did you measure the heights before/after the lift?

That looks great is it a plug and play with shaft size and horn button etc is the wheel closer to the dash to extend arm reach.

It is plug and play, accept the steer colum cover needs about 1mm trimmed off the wheel opening. The wheel is about a inch closer to the body, which I prefer for varies reasons (mostly because I'm tall but have short arms and legs).

it was 27.2" tall up front and 29" rear, now it is 30.6" Front and 32" rear, quite a noticeable lift which give it such a weird looking with those tiny 31 inch tires

If you allow 1" of sag for the old springs, these new ones gave a solid 2" lift, meaning that your caster angle will be out 3.4* +/-. 3* positive caster is a good number to aim for. Also bigger tires tend to like a little more caster. I think 33s would be great on your rig. Good luck.
 
Installed the pod and switch for my e-locker (not yet fitted).
It started as a hack job cutting into the dash but it came out alright I think.
Beno provided me with the correct electrical plug and wire leads.

How big is that pod? Would a 2" gauge fit in there? I'm using the dash altimeter pod for oil pressure, water temp and pyrometer but would like a boost gauge too. This might be a good place to put an additional gauge

No. The usable space is about 1.75 inches across.
 
Installed a new antenna while the inner fender is off. Not too difficult but a little fiddly.

Crude antenna locking nut tool: 4 tangs.

I did buy a top only to find out it is too short. :bang: I rushed into it thinking all 70 series would be the same. A 71 top doesn't fit a 74
Unpacked it..fitted it....packed it back up and there it sits. I'll get it in the classifieds soon. Thanks for the offer ;)

I have never taken the soft top off so I don't have any pics of the framework without the top. I was planning on doing it very soon so I can take pics if you want me to then. If you are in a rush for pics, there was an old ebay ad of a FJ73 for sale that had pics of the top removed. Framework on that one matches mine.
