Steep Canyon Rangers ... next up The Kruger Brothers

Accept?

Udo's scream in Balls to the Wall is possibly the best ever, edging slightly above the chick who yells "Stop right there!" in Paradise By the Dashboard Light. And only a German can prance around with the authority that he did as a bald late-40's man in the video. But, like Golden Earring, almost everything else they did sucks donkey bag. And you know you'd see them if they came around again, you headbanger, you :bang:. Shaun, are you paying attention to this?

UPDATE: I made a slight detour into some Art of Noise this afternoon. Can't leave the computer to track down a box of CD's - damn work. Sigue Sigue Sputnik might hafta be next.

Does anyone use spotify? Ive recently fallen in love with it..and I like the ability to listen to other peoples choices, especially people I like!

No Spotify here, but I'm up to 3 purchased iTunes records now! That's right, I said records. They get released, not dropped.

Started out tonight with Faith No More's "The Real Thing". That led me to search my music drive for "War Pigs". Wow, there's more than a few. Cake's version is right near the top.

So... Was the last good RHCP record Blood Sugar Sex Magik or Mother's Milk? I've tried so hard to like them. I mean the whole thing, not some good songs, btw.

Uplif mofo party plan - their best album ever. Came out in 1987 when I was in high school.

go to 19.09 Subterranean Homesick Blues

I listened to that album all last year when building my addition. It was like my theme song for that job! For me, it's one of those albums where I like every song.

I saw them in Charlotte back during the UMPP tour. They played at a little club on Old Pineville Rd called Kidnappers. It is now a topless place. Great show. It was the Funky Rumpus Tour. I think I still have the T-shirt. I never wear it because it's a 50/50 and I can't stand those...well...and because the back of the shirt says "rock out with your puss out". Exact words. I can't wear stuff like that anymore since I am a semi-responsible 45 y/o trying to set an example for the kids. Oh to be young again!

Not sure how I missed this one, but I agree... But I didn't get turned on to them until they released Blood Sugar Sex Magik..
