Sitting in a Starbucks and they've been playing Johnny Cash for at least the last 40 minutes!

That's normally what i'm listening to when i'm in my car.

Really like Fresh Air and a couple other shows, but would rather slam my junk in a sliding glass door than listen to Diane Rehm.

her voice is is so painful. How does someone who cannot speak, have a radio show.

Oh my god! Ramon i said the same thiemg to liz the other day. I love car talk, science fri, wait wait don't tell me.

Her voice can be painful.... she started out before she had the throat cancer (that's how she got her start)

But the topics are spot on.

What is on in Raleigh at the 9am-10am slot? Here we have charlotte talks which is hit or miss

Actually, it's not just her voice ... but what she's saying. Such a bleeding heart liberal that only comes from one perspective. Basically, the same reason I don't like Rush, only 180* out of phase. I apologize for digressing to politics, but thought I'd clarify.

Oh its here voice for me! And the liberal crap too

Cake never gets old. Any song that's starts with " I'm not catching on fire today" is perfect for a cold winter morning.

Cake is a one-trick pony, but it's a good trick that nobody else does. They were one of the few bands that I still listened to during my radio hiatus when I was trying to avoid influence by the popular radio bands. There was never any chance of somebody comparing my music to Cake.

I think you describe it very accurately - I cannot listen to them constantly - but when they fit the mood, theyre perfection.
