Strange course of events this week.... getting busier at work, so decided to start getting parts to rebuild my warn winch. I thought it was a warn 8274 with the cable operation, ends up it's up Bellevue winch. Scrapped that idea. Searched on craigslist and found a cryptic add for a warn winch with a picture of an old box. Zoomed in with my computer and saw the numbers 8274 on the picture. After a quick call and a four hour round trip this is what I found. Did some research on warn and it appears it was manufactured in March 1979. Been sitting in the corner since then.

Need to also thank @lcwizard for setting me up with a 8274 plate. Smooth transaction. Thanks,

Track down the problem with the turn signals....it was the brand-new switch in the steering column. SUCK!!! that was after lots of head scratchin' and tearing the harness back apart.

As part of this recalled that I needed to add resistors to get rid of the LED hyperflash.

Then started working on the front bumper. Using C channel, so the sides are not flat, welded in some tapered metal to try and make if good and flat. Need to cut out some 3/8 plate for reinforcement before mounting the winch up.

You need an electronic flasher to keep the leds from flashing quickly. Replaces the stock flasher. Instead of the resistor.
From amazon desc The 90650 is an LED compatible 2-prong turn-signal flasher relay. The flasher will resolve the problem with hyper-flashing or no-flashing when you replace your stock incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs The following features set this item apart from other LED flashers - Works with LED bulbs AND regular bulbs, or a mix. - Handles up to 20 Amp - Audible Clicking Noise - DOT Approved Installation is very simple: Remove existing 2-prong flasher, plug in 90650 and connect the flasher's black wire to a good ground (chassis / sheet metal or other ground). This flasher is designed for vehicles that use a 2-prong flasher with a socket wired to SAE specifications. Some vehicles are not wired correctly at the flasher socket and the polarity may be reversed. If you are not sure, simply order the 90652 which will work regardless of how the socket is wired

Cool.

And for anyone getting these electronic flashers, don't forget to order two ....one for hazard

Got the rear bumper installed

Son of a biscuit. The thread on the Lugnuts bolts is standard. Half by 18 pitch. Time to try to find some Lugnuts that work hopefully with a 13/16 wrench.

Kelly, bumper is sick. Will it be ready for 2/25?

Yeah. Done

Got the welding done on the front bumper. No need to figure out the fairlead. I really like the one that flatlander just put on.

Well, the score, just became a lessor score. I did not test the unit when I bought it and when wiring it up, I opened it up and all the relays are bad. So, reached out to @half k cruiser and he pointed me toward putting an albright in it.

So, looking for advice on what unit to put in there.

Several people like these..

Superwinch Replacement Solenoids 90-14452

Read many threads about these, and this is a local vendor for us.... Gigglepin unit.

12V Pro-Series Albright Contactor Solenoid Replacement

Also, the winch controller I have is a 3 pin old warn unit. looking for how to wire this up as it looks like they are 4 pin now.

Thoughts appreciated.

I used the superwinch Albright with 3 pin controller. I found a wiring schematic online-you just need to search Google a bit. Real estate in the controller box is tight with a Albright so I used a crawlorado box with no hole and drilled a hole in the side using a hole saw.
