So now I got a dumb question. I have a length of square tubing to replace, whatever was there before under the rear seat mounts. It will be bolted to the mounts and welded to the floor. Can I cut the length in half and weld them together? It’s tight fit, I’m just more concerned if it will pass a safety to get it on

I’m thinking of having 1 long piece that spans both frame and seat mounts. And a chunk to fill in.
