What about your second U-bolt in that last pic? Still need to notch the truss?

Maybe I missed it, but how did you bend your axle housing? Was it close to the Diff, or where you did a Cut and Turn?

It was close to the diff. There was actually a crack all the way through that caused it to bend. It straightened relatively easy and we drilled and welded the crack. With the axle being trussed now it should be really solid.

Hopefully I can get it all put together today after school. I can't wait to drive it home! I will get some pictures.

Doing some rally-cross on the side? lol.

Did you grind a lot on your axle when you did your lift? That could have weakened the housing.

I drew up some truss plans when I was doing my SO, didn't follow through but i haven't had any problems so far..

Looking foreword to seeing how it turns out.

Haha no rally cross.. Let's just say I was showing off and was going to make a big splash, but the hiding rock didn't agree. There was still a decent splash though. I had to drive it about 15 miles. That was the longest hour of my life. The cruiser won't be seeing mud or speed anymore.

I had plans to truss it before, but I never got around to it.. If I were you I would at least do a small one. Never know it might save your butt later on.

Ah must have been some pretty young ladies around cheering you on... Been in that situation before. Luckily didn't break anything. The Chicks dig fj60s. I have to spray babe repellent all over before I go cruise around town or else they all latch on. haha.

No mud?! thats not gonna last... And ya maybe one day when I have my axle apart I can weld up something onto the housing to beef it up a bit.

Hahaha you guessed it. They always want a ride in the cruiser.. All the jeep guys in the group get jealous.

Oh ya, my buddies with jeeps are always hating on the cruiser. Jealousy can be a real b**ch haha. Ive had a few jeeps follow me on the trails, one sheared his front diff, and proceeded to flop, and the other broke an axle shaft. Good times.

Got a good amount of crap done today..I wasn't able to get it all put together but it's hanging on the springs ready to get done tomorrow.

Today's progress. Got both sides done. Just waiting on a fitting for the breather. Once I pull it out and wash her I will get better pics

Were you gonna add knuckle gussets too?

Alright I need some electrical help. I cut the control box and cig lighter attachment off of the vision x kit. I have these wires and need to figure out where they go.

Here is power and ground from the cig

Here are what I assume are the separate wires for each light. Black is ground?
