Very familiar with H's and appreciate the possible connection with your grandfather / family heritage.

Some background info for your consideration - The Farmall line included multiple models very similar looking to an H with some being slightly larger geometrically. The Super H was an up-powered variant from the early 50s. However, the M was the big brother to the H and it went through a series of upgrades and name changes with a longer production life. The M-family went through significant enhancements (live power, power, pwr steering, transmission, torque amplifier, wide front ends being more common, plus more diesel example built) which culminated with the 450 and 460. The 450 and 460 tractor were effectively the final tractors that looked like an H (or M). This could be helpful in maintaining a family connection while balancing other considerations.
@LDowney you certainly know your stuff

I'll see if I can dig them up but I think we only have 1 or 2 photos of the said tractor. I tried to dig up all the info I could on it before my grandfather passed but no one in the family seemed to know exactly what year it was or what happened to it. I used to have the fantasy of finding his and restoring it but that has proven to be just a dream. Couple family members seem to remember that it was a 47' H and another believed it to be a 51' H, I do know it was a tricycle model ..... at this point i don't think ill ever know

Understand this. I have been trying to write a history summary for my kids on where their grandparents lived/farmed through the years and it is a challenge. They passed a few years back. Most of my aunts and uncles have also passed. Without them it is hard going to piece facts and information fragments together.

Good luck in pulling your family history together.

Quiet evening in the shop, finished assembling my Aussie spec quad headlights for the 80. Caught up on a few GT race's

Picked up my fathers old central machinery T-583 drill press for the shop, getting it all cleaned up

I have that exact same drill press and a 1940’s Delta my dad left me… the Delta is 50+ years older but amazingly solid and stable. Both work very well for anything I have tried to do…and I’ve done some heavy duty drilling into double 5/8” steel and 1/2” steel for this log splitter ram

Ya I remember as a kid always using it and when he called asked if I wanted it I was pretty excited.

I've got an old Rockwell at the shop but that thing is massive

My wife frequents Hobby Lobby. As I keep my self busy while she picks out yarn or fabric, I have noticed in their novelty sign section they also have Land Cruiser art and signs

And don’t forget TEMU… but I promise, you get a shipload of emails if you give your address

Dude! Hurry up and get that tractor I am in need of one to borrow. ;)

Also, your shop/man cave is really shaping up. Looking real good

Was a fun weekend. Did some more cleaning up, sold the little Suzuki quad that's been in the background, oil change in the wife's car and just in time to make a giant mess....... finally started the fuel tank swap in the 80. Productive weekend

Yard work next weekend

Had a guest appearance at the cruiser cottage this weekend from my ausi brother @toyactor. His 80 in a previous life had a leaky sunroof or something that went unnoticed for a long period of time the slowly rotted out his floor pan. Unfortunately the PO tried to hide it with plate steel :bang:, we ended up building upon the original repair but cut out all the bad metal and made some intricate patch panels out of 16 gauge. Some POR15, cutting, welding and a whole bunch of seam sealer later, his 80 is ready for many more years of service. As an added bonus the family jewels are now heavily protected from things like land mines  Had another friend stop by for moral support and to change oil in his LX450. a very long weekend full of 80 series

the HF McGraw compressor and my welder definitely earned their keep this weekend, my compressor isn't heavy duty enough to keep up with my big air tools that compressor damn near ran for 48 hours straight and it did trip the breaker a few times so that's definitely something I need to look into

@TRDdrew also definitely earned his new moniker, Brah from a different Ma this weekend! Grateful for the skilled help, getting to hang out and addition peace of mind for the pumkins down under!! Good work, well done.

Well we had a small tornado tear through parts of Southern MD Friday night. My neighborhood was right in the Cross hairs. The cruiser gods spared my property and the cruiser cottage and other than a bunch of tree debris and large limbs we came out unscathed.

A lot of folks weren't so lucky. My neighbors house had a tree hit it and if that wasn't bad enough another fell on his truck. I think in total there was probably close to 30 tree that came down causing damage and dropping power lines. We didn't get power restored until Saturday night ( kinda amazing how quickly those crews worked)

My son and I grabbed the chainsaws and got to work helping everyone out, in true form I didn't grab any photos but my boy snapped a few. A lot of the neighbors came out to help.

I’m glad everyone was safe. Stuff can be replaced, as general rule.

Had a visitor at the cruiser cottage @sofj45 and his family are doing a 50 state road trip in a 55, such a cool truck. They stopped in for some quick repairs and to stay the night. Got up this morning made them breakfast and did some shark teeth hunting at the beach before they got on the road. But not before he let me take it for a spin. Thanks again for that, it was great to meet you and your family, yall are welcome back anytime

You can follow his journey here is you would like

@TRDdrew thanks for the help and the space to work on the girl while traveling. The girls won’t remember that part but playing with the dogs and taking us down to find some sharks teeth will be a memory they won’t forget. Thanks again for everything hopefully she’s ready for the last 8k thousand miles.
