Who's out there doing fabulous work? Let's crowdsource a one-stop thread. I have personal experience with Wits' End and TLC / ICON (No, haven't bought from the latter; just ogled them); the rest are here by reputation or member suggestion, in no particular order. When suggesting adds, please provide location, website and Mud handle (if any). Note that, image-wise, company Instagram accounts are often more current than their websites.

What about Torfab in the PNW and Redline Cruisers? I feel like I've seen their ads and both seem to do what this post is about, but I'm not sure.

Have the question for torFab above.

Okay, so, maybe we should expand this from just retromod to heavy-duty build / engine shops as well? Get it all in one place...

@jaymar - Yes we do that

This is a shortened 80 frame for a 142 conversion

Is Robbie @powderpig still in the business of engine rebuilds? Not sure what other work he does as far as restoration work goes but he has been highly recommended in the engine rebuild department for a long time.

You can fit the entirety of the Australian economy into Los Angeles, yet it's light on Land Cruiser shops based on my search (good ones).

I've had good luck thus far a bit further South of me in Orange County - at Cruiser Tech. Proprietor, Cesar, seems like a nice guy and is originally from Venezuela. He himself is an 80 owner.

Assuming you mean the one in AZ. Not a lot of info on website. @OverLand Cruisers, where do you fit in here, with the work you do...?

Our website hasn't seen much love in a couple of years...we've been meaning to get to that.

We're a restoration shop that also builds modern rigs for overland use.

Bill Lee, our Master Mechanic, is a Land Cruiser subject matter expert with an incredible depth of knowledge on all things Toyota.

Kind of the Cliff notes version but there you have it. :)

Thanks for the note. Do you do 80s, and do you do frame-offs? Thanks again!
