It's pretty straight forward and easy to install the Terminator Xmax.
- I installed my ecu in the glove box. I tried to mount to the back side of the glove box but there is no room and will hit all that HVAC stuff back there.
- The dbw pedal that came with the motor and did not work with the Terminator Xmax and ended up buying the right one.

I haven't gotten around to getting the tacho to work. I think we will still have to go the same route as folks that use the factory wiring in that they use the Dakota box but that works on 80's 93-97. I have a 91 so in my case I'd have to look for a 93+ tacho in order for the Dakota box to work properly. Has something to do with the signal between 91/92 and 93-97 tachs. Dunno.. this is just a hunch. I'm still thinking about how to go about doing my gauges... even thinking about just getting a blank panel and using autometer gauges.. not sure yet..
What about Holley’s digital displays?

Dude that's awesome.

Found this here on ih8mud (Tach wires LS Conversion using the stock tach DIAGRAM - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/tach-wires-ls-conversion-using-the-stock-tach-diagram.984636/).

Should be very useful. For me at least as I have a 91. Seems like it can do what the Dakota box can fit the tack tach output.

Got the caster checked in preparation for ordering the Delta Radius Arms last week.. This is where it sits. Previous owner did the lift and those caster bushes. Not sure if they were installed correctly as some folks have had different numbers than mine on caster after the bushes install.. anyhow..

Now I wait for the Delta Arms to come in..

Also thinking of switching the rear springs to the 863 to level it out a little.. got the 863J's in now. But it doesn't look so bad here in this picture and angle..

Tatton DC driveshaft.. I'm not liking the amount of spline exposed and not sure how much still remains, guess I should flex it and see.. I gave him the measurements so you would think it's right.. dunno.. so far no issues with the driveshaft though... had to "adjust" the trans pan a little.. bought the shallow pan and might swap it out later.

Swapped out my fuel pressure sender for a Low Dollar piece that just screws onto the schrader valve. Cleans up the fuel rail some.

I'm thinking of putting a cv front driveshaft up front but putting the cv at the pinion. Im thinking it doesn't matter with the broken back driveline design. Not sure I have enough room at the tcase. Your stance looks really good right now in my opinion.
It looks pretty close with the DC at the transfer case but there's enough clearance...

Stance looks good because what you don't see is the 5 45lb bags of water softner salt bags in the back... lol!! But then again, I don't have a full size spare yet.. still have to order my tire and mount it.. and then build my trays in the back.. when I have time, I need to go get some steel and attempt to fabricate my own rear bumper...

Ha oh ok so it must sit pretty high in the back otherwise. There are a couple decent weld it yourself bumper kits out I've been eye balling.

Yeah them J springs are tall with no weight and I feel it when I had no bags of salt to weigh it down.. I've been looking at Coastal... have you seen some others?

Updated first post with more parts I used. Been enjoying driving it... got the Delta Radius Arms on order to fix the wandering.. need to tone down the exhaust some.. 55-63ish there's plenty of drone.. 70+ not so much..

Things left to do:

- Figure out the wiring for the CDL
- AC lines made
- Exhaust - either find a resonator to tone down drone at highway speeds or swap to a different style muffler. Sure glad I did the layers of sound deadening.. can't imagine if I didn't do that..
- Windows... (Runners and Regulator/motor assembly)
-

** Delta Radius Arms installed - Drives a ton better!

** CDL wiring has been resolved. I was able to get the connector from the owner I sold the motor to. So then it made the job easy to just extend the wires to the main connector behind the glove box...

** Window runners are here, just need to install them.. it's been quite cold here in Texas..

** Going to make my own Helmholtz resonator pipes... I have the parts and pipes have been shaped. Just need to figure out where in the exhaust system I have room to fit them, then weld them up. This should fix my drone I have between 55-60 mph.

** OME 863 rear springs installed to lower the rear some.. looks great now. Maybe when I have more weight back there, I'll put the J's back in. For now, stance looks great!

AC lines still need to be made.. just need to get off my butt and take them to get done up.

Marlin Crawler tie rod and relay rod need to be installed. 555 ends have been painted as well as the rods. Just need to install them.

Other than that, been putting miles on it and enjoying it. Having an issue with it in OD. I should've left the trans stock before adding the Corvette Servo and the Sonnax 1-2 Accumulator. So for now I have OD disabled, it revs a little higher but still not bad, but could be better..

Funny you should bring up this swap, last weekend i drove up to the mountains, elevation is right around 7000 feet. On that drive there are more then a few 7% up hill grades, and as i was climbing one of those 7% grades, i get passed by a late 80's Yugo, so i start thinking to myself, maybe it's time for an LS swap.
but you have a 1FZ tho...

The best way to describe the power of the 1FZ-FE motor while climbing a 7% grade at 7000 feet. It's kind of like harnessing the overwhelming power of 2 gerbils and a squrial on a treadmill.
i know how what you mean, what was your avg. speed in those elevation and 7% grade?

Lol. Try the same but on 40's:) I have been hovering around the v8 swap threads and making noted but yet to pull the trigger. I'm want an atlas behind the 6l80 and well at that cost, it need to rethink my crypto strategy:)
