I don't know how I have never been on your Piggie thread. Need to get reading now, glad to hear the front axle will finally take place. ;)

Wow, This thread has not been updated in quite awhile.

Good news is that Steve still owns the Pig.

Bad news, it has been sitting since Steve mentioned it broke down a few pages back.

Time for the pictures of the sad pig, and the beginning of the Re-Resurrection of the pig.

Now for the news you have all been waiting for, there are no plans to sell the pig. Infact, I have taken charge of getting it running again and I believe the only thing keeping it from running this entire time has been the rotor button :bang:. Once the pig is running it will be on to the simple things (Tires, Fluids ETC.) to get it back driveable. If you have a keen eye you will notice that there is some rust that has come back, that will addressed later down the road.

Unfortunately it is not. The 55 has not run, or moved in almost 4 years. My Jeep plays tug when I have to move that monster around.

I was giving you license to lie to me...
You could have been all like, "Yeah Pablo, ignore what I wrote above, the Pig is totally being a Boss" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
Oh well, glad to see you working on it!

So, I got the chance to do some basic trouble shooting on the pig and it looks like the rotor button might have been the culprit all along.....

If I get the chance this week I will change all the fluids and see if I can source a rotor button and cap locally.

I am still trying to convince Steve not to paint it, the patina adds so much character to it. It also says something about the many different stages of life that this cruiser has gone through. It still has the very first Southeast Overland sticker ever made on the rear glass!

That paint definitely has the "Don't F with me look". You will always win at intersections sporting that paint. People will look at the Pig and think "This guy just doesn't care..."

Unfortunately it has not, we have gotten SLAMMED with customer projects like this BJ40 restoration and multiple 40 restos (we are about to wrap it up)

Hopefully one of these days I will get a chance to spend some time with the 55 and get it going. looks like it needs some very simple tune up stuff, fuel system clean and things like tires battery ETC.

If you peep at the last pic you can see the current state of the 55.

Thanks for the update, Jeff! Glad to hear the company is so busy - great looking work there on the 40. Sorry to hear that the Wheeling Devil has been sitting all this time:frown:
Do you think there’s interest in selling it?

I’ll tell you what I’ve always liked about this rig is, one, the lift and stance, and for two, the rocker/sliders. That rig has always just looked right!

Not sure if there is any interest in selling it at this moment, but everything does have a price. LOL

The cool part about the pig is that everything is still there, it has literally just been parked and thats it. Plans are to leave it just like it is, including the patina it has picked up and rock it out. Just got to find some time to do it.
