BFG are notoriously out of balance 🧐

I called it quits early today.

Flares look right on the body.

And then I started welding out the rear axle a bit. I love the look of a rear truss. Also got to have some fun with tig.

Low range? 3 hours. Minimum.

But that's a moot point, cause my tranny wouldn't make it 75 miles to the Iowa border. Much less through Iowa, Nebraska, and half of Colorado to get to a hill. 🤣
Clean trailer though 😂

It's been awhile since I've looked at your build thread. Specifically pages 34 and 35 on your front coilover mounts. How much of the chrome shaft on your coilovers are showing at ride height? I've been told it needs to be around 4" showing.

Really, it depends on what the need is. High speed, want more bump, crawling helps to have some, but usually 3.5 - 5" is pretty good for a mix. It all depends on how it can be packaged. I jave about 4.5" of up currently.

My dad and I got a new trailer hauled down from MN thanks to @sogncab. New 22' 10K powered tilt for cruiser / car hauling. Karl figured out a few deficiencies on the trip down that I decided to correct before taking it out to Cruise Moab this year.

1. The jack sucks.

I like voiding warranties, so I decided to replace it with a not sucky spring loaded 12K rated drop down jack.

2. No chain clippies for storage. I solved that with the gussets I added to the jack.

I found a design choice that I didn't like too much. The ram mount kinda just floats in space. It was already out of square, no idea if it's from being used the couple of times I've tilted it, or assembled kinda wonky. Anyways, I added some gussets.

3. The battery and hydro unit is in a meh spot, and there is no on board storage for anything else.

I still like voiding warranties, so the battery box came off the frame to make space and everything is getting reworked.

Cleaned up the battery box and filled the cuts in.

And stacked it on top of the other box.

And 4. No storage on this trailer for straps. So, now I need to get this box made and put on the trailer. Not really sure what I'm doing for latches or locks, but something.

I boxed today and got the winch installed on the trailer.

Everything fits and should be ready to go. Hopefully ready for Cruise Moab.

Got a small gripesheet fixed today and yesterday. Biggest thing I am happy about is tapshift is now mostly working which will be really nice in low. No more needing the laptop.

Anyways, gave it a bath and will load the trailer tomorrow.

Cruise moab was a blast. Took my bike and cruiser out, and did some prerunning. Got to see a bunch of friends as well. Overall, a great time!
