Well Elsie found some more stuff Dakota Digital has a Module that lets you plug into the Sniper 2 I guess i did not realize all the cool stuff you could get for these dash gauges .

In an effort to just make things as clean and as good as I can I am trying to have as many AN fittings as I can. To get away from the normal hose clamps . I am making the heater hoses now

Anyone have any idea what fitting on the heater core gets hooked to the water pump hose ? I have never had the heater hooked up so I am unsure

Either I got lucky installing mine or it doesn’t matter because it’s HOT

Not sure if you’ve got cables yet but this stuff is by FAR the best around. Ridiculously flexible and easy to work with

Where was this recommendation a month ago when I was finishing my wiring. Ha. I used 2/0 welding cable for my negative ground and winch positive cable and they were very hard to get into place!

Crap. Must have missed that

I swear by the polar wire, it is the highest quality wire I’ve ever worked with. Far and beyond OEM quality. I solder on the leads I want which is pretty easy and makes custom length doable without waste

The company is based out of Fairbanks and Anchorage, AK. I’ve been in the stores, easy to walk out a lot poorer. I believe their claim to fame is that the heavy wires are still flexible at -20° which is really something

Solder it, add loom and some heat shrink over that. That’s 2/0 curled up like a supple snake

I had to make a run down to Reno yesterday and I can’t go there without stopping at Summit . I needed a 6 dollar fitting and 300 later I walked out with a bag of junk . I was looking at one of there engines and thought. I need my plug wires to look like that if I ever have hopes of winning Peezy show n shine award . What I had to what we have now . Let me just say it’s not that easy to do .

New engine looks nice in there.

What kind of pre first fire tuning did you have to do on the sniper for the new 383 engine, any? Is it as simple as updating displacement and fire it up? I started looking at the Sniper 2 for my newest 40 acquisition with a SBC. I dont really want to fuss with tuning the carb (it needs tuning) and the engine seems to have a bit of a cam as it has a nice lope at idle. Not knowing anything about the internals (bore, stroke, cam) has me questioning moving forward with the Sniper.
