Others may disagree but I think that you will be fine without. I had to do some digging and I did use the TMR mount. Your 5:1 gear ratio is going to be great when you come to Colorado 😉

After breaking two trannys in half, I will only run it with both a mount at the trans and one on the back of the case.
Do you use equal flex at both mounts?
Dealing with a ORD magnum box behind a Cummins 12V and nv4500, with a heavy 205 behind, ORD said to eliminate the trans adapter mount and mount it only at their box with some fairly hard poly washers.

Just worried about all that weight and torque.

I’d rather mount it both places but it’s not easy.

It holds up in my Ultra4 car. 6l80 to 205

Hanging a 205, that has always been an issue. seems the trans adapters broke. Whats the ORD case ?
I did switch to a cast iron trans adapter. Mostly worried about the aluminum bell housing at this point.
The ORD I referenced is the Off Road Design Magnum box;

ORD says skip the trans adapter mount and use their mount, which is the raw steel they provide in the center of the picture above, bolts to their flange on the box.

Sure hope I'm not threadjacking too much here, @Firemedic831 . The mount talk just kind of took off.

Working on a good way to mount my skid plate 🤔. Think maybe add a piece of angle to the top so it can bolt into the side of the frame 🤷‍♂️

I think it looks lower because its angled like a boat side

Why not dtill+tap the bottom of the frame and make a flange? Leaves eveything in compression then.
