Finally got some tires!!!

Ok so it has taken me forever to update this thing. Once I started driving it and sold our third car I have not had much time to do all the final little things. So here it is!!! The final report. It drives like a dream! I could not afford anything bigger than 35's but I like how it sits.

So when you had to move the shackle hanger forward did you index the passenger side on the bolt hole for the ground strap?

Huh??? ground strap for what??? I don't have the 3FE anymore so my ground on the 350 is in a different spot. (if that is what are refering to.)

How come you went with heims?

Looks good man. You gonna come snow wheeling with us in a couple of weeks?

The stock rod ends kept failing because of the flex I was getting (even when I was SUA). I have had the heims on for about 2 years with no problems.

I need to flex it out first to se if I need a long travel d-shaft.

There is a thrreaded hile in the frame where a ground strap goes. I was tinking about using that as the center off of when I cut for my shackle bushing thru the frame

killer dude. I should hopefully be doing my 350 / NV4500, SOA here sometime this year and will do a build on it as well as specs for my motor. till then im SUA locked front and rear on 4.56's

looks great!

OH! I don't think I used that as the center. I just measured from the front spring hanger to the point where the shackle should be for the length of the springs. There is probably a better way to do it than I did.

what are your headers off of?

did they need any modification?

sorry to hijack.

no mods for me. they are supposed to be a direct bolt up.

no worries I think we all share everyone's ideas. that's what this is for!

Thanks for posting the rear shock mounts. That is very close to how I was planning on doing mine so it was nice to see one already done. Rig looks good.

thanks boots. I do have an 1" body lift to help make room for those mounts. you can always move them to the center more.

Pics

Nice job dude! You need to post up some wheling pics now.

I need to go wheeling. It has been over a year since I last went. 2 kids and a move has kept me off the trails. I can't wait to test this thing out.

Been almost 1 1/2 yrs since I've pioleted a rig on the trails so I can feel your pain.

Some FLEX!!!

So I took it by my local tire guy and asked if he could flex it out for me to I could see if I need to get a long travel front d-shaft. Everything looked good on compression, there was not enough room to check the droop so I'll have to check that out later. but here are the pics. It was around 30" of travel. Saweeeeeeet!!!!:steer::bounce2::bounce:
