Well I picked this beauty up. Came with a chevy 350/700R4 combo already in it.

1. springing it over with FJ62 axles for better gearing.

2. redoing the motor and tranny mounts because they are sketchy.

3. doing the paint job myself.

4. installing new gauges.

5. new carpet. (rest of interior is in pretty great shape.

6. build my own bumpers, rock sliders, and skid plates

I have already started in on the gauges, the spring over, and motor mounts. I also got rid of the roof rack, bumpers, and put different wheels on. Most likely she will sit on 35's.

Starting jumping right into it. Garage is a mess. But having fun.

You can see a picture of one of the motor mounts frame side.

And you're back! Loving the white 60, although those motor mounts are a bit scary.

Looking forward to your new build!!

Yep definitely back! And Glad to be. I really missed my cruiser. I'll also be doing a 5.7 Chevy V8 conversion on a 1997 FZJ80. Head gasket blew on that one. I am back and in it up to my eyeballs!

Those vintage style gauges are cool as hell! I'm assuming those are the ones you put in, judging by the odometer.

Got some work done yesterday an today.

Motor mounts done!
Spring over done!
Need to do:
Brake lines
Steering
Rebuild steering box

Here are a couple pics. I'll take better ones tomorrow.

Just getting this one driveable again then going to start on the other one. I'll be coming back to this one for the tranny mount/skid plate, sliders, and paint after I do the V8 conversion on the 80.

Well it's driveable. But no 4wd yet. Need to get the front driveshaft redone. I think the PO welding it together himself so it wobbles like crazy.

Really nice work.

You made SOA look easy. And the shackle angle is groovy.

Looks awesome! I just wished I could accomplish half as
much as you can in such a short time. I'm doing the same SOA on my 60 and it never seems to go that quickly for me. X2 on the motor mounts good call.
