I'm still confused by the MOMO, Nardi, etc steering wheels on all of the JDM trucks. I wonder if that's a "week 1" mod over there? I've heard more than a few reports of touch screen head units that can't be switched to English as well. Glad to see you out on the road.

Yes it's a week 1 mod. It's why you see so many near stock Hondas with steering wheels. They're emulating the culture.
The old deck wasn't touch screen lol. It was 700 yrs old. But it's frequency range was 79-89mhz.

I got the subwoofer in and wired. The tote is all my recovery gear, tools and some first aid stuff. I need to take feld up on his offer of a shampooer but I lost track of this week and forgot.

Rear speakers mounted after cutting the doors up.

I need to get longer screws for th fronts so I can mount the grills.

And the view of the dash before reassembly.

The deck is missing... That's because it doesn't work. Crutchfield is refunding me and I bought one off Amazon because they're now out of stock on crutchfield.

That was the source for no sound eh? Too bad, Alpine is a solid deck too.

I have a thread elsewhere.

I can use a battery at the OEM harness and make the speakers pop.
I can take an extra speaker, wire it directly to the deck and get nothing.
My sub does make noise.

I saw your thread, the deck seemed suspect based on your troubleshooting. What deck did you replace the ILX-650 via Amazon?

The same deck. If I would've changed decks I would've just had crutchfield send me something else. I really like this deck

Well now that it's cold a new issue has reared it's head. I'm having issues with fuel leakage and air in the fuel.

So I've ordered a new fuel primer assembly and an acsd delete.

The primer is coming from parts souq so God knows when it'll be here. But I've got it temp fixed.

This is all since I got home at 9 last night

Ok, so I picked up some viton o-rings and pulled the fuel heater. 2 new o-rings, a little grease and reinstalled. I pumped the hand primer and didn't notice any leakage. We'll see how it acts when it's cold again I guess.

Here is the heater. You can see seepage around it. That's all from just driving to work and back.

I've already pulled the upper o-ring here, but it's small and barely fit anymore. The lower is still there.

Here it is with new o-rings

Here is kind of an example of what it was doing. It wouldn't hold an idle. It hard started. It would finally idle once totally warmed up. But was still hard to start

And here it is idling and running afterwards. I also adjusted the idle. It used to idle around 600. I had no idea that was wrong. When researching my issue I learned 800 +/-50 in neutral is correct. So now she idles just above 800

Disregard the mismatched screw on the heater. I dropped one in the snow. The new fuel primer is on its way and doesn't have a fuel heater so the screws won't be needed any more.

Sounds great!

Ha! I forgot you were diesel for a second and was wondering what all of these weird fuel system parts were that you were talking about.

If you have to work in driveway/outside, these things can be life savers;

I don't usually. And I have tons of trays. I refuse to put my lightning outside if it's cold. The intercooler runs in water so it'll freeze.

Plus this job was only 3 screws so not worth it to move cars around.

21* out. Trucks been sitting 14+ hours. I'd say it's fixed.

You may be asking yourself "how did a guy end up here?"

Oh no! What’s up?

Same issue. It appears the converter is failing. Won't lock up. Reva excessively when starting out. No idea why
Sorry to hear that. Frustrating.
