wasn't this just repaired? If it's burnt out again it sounds like there is an underlying issue causing the problem.

I'm aware of how the A440 family and specifically the A442s functions, just wondering if there is an issue with the case which could easily be overlooked that is the root of the issue. Such a rapid failure of a unit rebuilt by a reputable shop leads me to wonder. Could also just as easily be a simple misstep in reassembly.

As would I... Just curious.I'm going with either a bad converter or assembly issue.
Yea it is. Yes, they will. Let us know what it is.It's under warranty. They can figure it out.

They are very stout, which has me wondering. If the TC is a factory part I'd suspect improper assembly first, if that wasn't the cause then I'd inspect the TC, if it wasn't obviously fubard from the box (factory parts often aren't) then I'd seriously start looking at passageways and suspect the case very closely. So I'm very interested in what they find.

my trans guy said:We think the snap ring broke on the governor support letting the governor move dropping the pressure a little bit and letting the converter clutch hydraulic bleed off.. I will get back to you later today when I find a spot to work on it
I figured something caused a loss of line pressure. Thanks for the report
At least it sounds like he is standing by his work
trans guy said:As you know I'm a straight shooter and will give you the truth whether it's our fault or not...
It spun the pump bushing out of the pump.
A few scenarios can cause this and I don't have answers just yet as to which scenario.
1) When my technician is filling it he was filling it too slow trying to ground through the pump/transmission bad ground.
(I'm not sure what he's saying other than his techs at fault)
2) Scenario converter run out the hub of the converters not perfect perfectly straight.
Soon as I find out I'll let you know today or tomorrow
