I have seen that as well, however when we go to that screen, nothing happens when we click on the options to change the settings. The little arrows turn blue, but the settings does not change. I have a call in to their tech support, but honestly it is pretty horrible to get any info from them that makes sense.

Yeah, the language barrier is pretty bad. Most of the emails I get back from them I can't tell if they are trying to ask me a question or giving me instructions, I'm not sure how they are over the phone it might be better. If tech support can't help in a timely manner you might want to try the "Tesla Style. Firmware and Headunits." Group on FaceBook. The guy that runs it creates custom firmware for the android units. There's also a ton of people with fixes and tips. Hopefully, tech support has an easy fix for you. I wish I could give you some better insight, mine is still a week out.

Does it have rca outs? Have you confirmed it’s working on those outs? Is the jbl amp under the seat powering on? Any blown fuses?

It Does have RCA outputs, however, the OEM JBL amplifier gets it signal from a "high-level input" which basically does the same thing just a different type of signal. Even though the OEM radio is made by Pioneer unfortunately there are no OEM RCA pre-amp outputs for the factory amp. It would be a lot nicer if they did wire it that way though.

Sure just seeing if maybe the audio circuit in the new hu was not working. The jbl hu and stock jbl amp talk via MOST. I assume that the new hu also speaks MOST, I don’t want to spread misinformation, but I don’t think there is any other signal path to the amp from the hu but the MOST bus. certainly interested to see what is necessary to wake up thr connection, or even better get some insight in how the new hu is working with the stock amp as far as signal path goes.

Installed the new 17” version in the LC today. Pretty straight forward, I think it took longer to figure out what harness (4 to choose from) to use than the actual install. HVAC buttons on top

Looks good. Does everything work? How does it sound compared to the original? What year is your truck?
I have a 2008, everything works well. There were some adjustments in the settings I had to do to get the volume level right ("Cur Vol") but it sounds better than the OEM to me. There are tons of adjustments you can make. I'm still getting used to some of the apps, and there are multiple ways to connect the phone for Bluetooth car play, etc(pic below of Apple Car Play using Zlink). When I get some more time over the holidays, I'm going to see if I can connect the rear monitor. I would think they just used a negative trigger or something to activate the drop the screen but not sure. The video and audio wires seem straight forward. I have the electrical wiring manual for it but I'm still trying to decipher some of the abbreviations for the OEM wiring.

I also ordered a Bluetooth app controlled relay bank (DSD TECH) to work the drop-down screen if possible, and I was going to connect the reverse cam trigger to it so I can view the cam while going forward (to see a trailer, etc). The relay has both android and ios apps so it can be used right from the radio. (Worst case I'm out $18 for it lol)

While there is still a big learning curve for me, overall I'm pretty impressed with the system.

I’m using that Bluetooth relay to run my light bar, rear locker, and compressor.

How do you like it? Any issues? I liked that it also was rated for AC as well (up to 277V I believe) and had slots for din rail mounting.
The software forgets the custom label. Occasionally I have to reboot the iphone to reset the bluetooth stack. Not huge inconvenience considering I didn’t have to breach the firewall and didnt need to figure a mounting solution.
overall love the concept and give 8/10 to the execution.

I’ll probably add an 8 switch clone I got for Christmas gift last year at some point, but rolling the Bluetooth for now.

it also makes a great debug, temp solution. Like you said, $20.

Has anyone installed the 16" unit into a 2010 200 with the JBL Audio? We have everything working but no sound.

Just an update on this. We got this working with the JBL system. We had a plug that goes to the vehicle harness that plugged into the cd changer with a bent pin and it did not make contact. We did not have to do the part of setting the volume high before removing the old unit.

Been there before, those are definitely a pain to troubleshoot since it's the last thing in the world you would think would happen lol. At least you didn't have to rewire anything or ship back a bad unit!

What do you think so far?

I have a 2011 200, US Model with JBL, factory radio is glitching and interested in this screen, dont really want to part with the factor Cd changer unless I have to. Can anyone recommend all I will need to get the most to work and where I can get it from. Sorry if the question is repetitive. I will have a stereo shop install it, any recommendations on what I should look out for. Also what will not work. Thank you for the help.

What year is yours? Did you happen to take any pictures or video of the wiring? Which factory components did you have to remove? I'm putting off installing mine until I can get some confidence that I actually know what is required. The lack of instructions and unclear wiring labels is a nightmare. Does any of this look familiar/unfamiliar?

I have an 08 should be the same up to 13 then it changed slightly. Not all plugs from your oem or the new head unit will be used. You want the harness that fits more of your oem plugs than the others. I can take some pics of the leftover harnesses if it helps. I had to wire connect the reverse wire and the rca male female together from the new oem harness adapter to the HU harness. (Colors don’t match btw). Off of the can bus box (orange) there is also a small plug that connects to the bezel for seat belt and air bag status (I didn’t see it the first time). Also before plugging in the harness to the car side make sure the male side plug pins are not bent (sometimes they get crossed and it’s hard to troubleshoot.
It’s not nearly as bad as it looks, took me about an hour or so because I forgot to connect everything. Test it before for lock it back in the dash all the way. If you get stuck let me know worst case I’ll open mine up on video chat and compare wiring connections.
