Been driving miss piggy regularly all week to shake out any bugs. So far so good. Looking forward to time off, road trip, and hanging with the crew, (old and new).

Mine was bouncing around and then stopped. It turned out not to be the odometer but the gear that drove it, located at the other end of the cable in the transmition.

While I have my odometer out, I figured I’d upgrade the dash lighting.
The grease hardening in the odometer tumblers damaged one of the drive gears. A new unit probably the way to go, if available. Will start the hunt.
A couple of suction cups pulled 95% of the 1/4 panel PP damage out.
Will work on it some more.
I think puffing out the clear coat will clean most of the pin stripes out

I am about to experiment with a rubber gasket I found for the infamous tailgate roll up window problem. Mine separated 3rd to the last day of travel from PP.
The sample on the left is almost the exact dimensions as the original on the right. Unless someone else has a closer remedy.

It reminds my of an article I read back in the 70’s.
The Russians set up a base inside the border of Libya whiteout permission.
Early one morning, 7- FJ45’s with 50 caliber machine guns mounted in the back attacked the base. The whole base was asleep and had no idea what was happening. Some Russians made it to some tanks but the 45’s ran circles around the tanks and chased them into the desert till the tanks ran out of gas.
The base was wiped out in less than an hour, permanently abandoned.
