Alright, so going to be rebuilding a split case, away from my shop so I’m only bringing limited tools. Does this seem like a good enough list?

3/8” metric
1/2” metric set
Extensions
Pliers
Hammers
Metric box wrenches
Larger sockets what specific sizes?
Breaker bar
Seal puller
Gear puller
Brass drift
Screwdrivers

press will Probabaly use amachine shop town

anything else obvious I’m missing?

Is it in the truck? I used a sawhorse and a set of pulleys to lower mine in a 95% controlled fashion (both transmission and back half of transfer case).

1/2 npt tap for the fill plug on transfer case if stripped out

Looks like you have about the right tools listed though.

Maybe a Seal Driver set?

Still in the truck. I might be able to get a cherry picker not sure yet trying to figure that portion out still. When I could reach through the vehicle and lower it down that way

drain pan and gear oil for re-assembly

Sawhorse worked really well actually inline with the transmission tunnel.

2x4 to prop up the engine from underneath

Thanks to @PabloCruise helping me, we are here.

Everything looks pretty good. Minimal tools worked, air tools would have been much faster. Still need to press off bearings, hopefully my friend here in town has a press.
