yea they were terrible. I replaced them all with your vac hose kit. I changed every freaking hose on the engine. It's as brand new as it gets for a 20yr old truck.
It really sucks when your vacuum lines are jacked-up. Wait, maybe it doesn't suck, like it should.

Zip tied temp measure till I fab a bracket to hold the cable. It got a little hot. Had a tiny exhaust leak from the vband. got a new one and it fixed my heat issue.

From talking to Spyduh it was the later. He had a leaking drain hose and had the downpipe off and on 4 or 5 times. V-bands are good but don't like misalignment or being torqued down multiple times.
I am just going to add this, I am an aircraft mechanic for 30 years. Lots of piston aircraft experience. V-bands are a regular insp and often replacement item. This is a good article to read for those not experienced with v-band installation and maintenance. Its not a simple as just tightening it up!

Weighed my 80 at the scales. 7060 lbs with 3/4 tank. My aux tank was empty. No camping gear. Full tools and spare parts with my diy drawers. No fridge. Just fridge slide. And I was in the truck so subtract 170lbs for my fat ass.
I'm guessing with all 49 gallons of gas and 3 Jerry's and camping gear will put me at 7500 to 8k.
I just went to the gas station and threw down $207 for 60 gallons of gas. Filled both tanks and my some of my jerry cans.
Still got 2 cans at home I need to empty and fill 91 octane since the 80 now requires premium gas cause of this damn turbo.

Changed out my ujoints on the front drive shaft. It has been progressively getting worse in the past 6 months. To where it had a constant vibe and sounded like it was going to let loose at any second. Pulled it out and drove RWD for the past 2 weeks. Let me tell you it has way more power in rwd than awd. Was super fun to drive but now I'm back to AWD again. Sorta at least.
I installed Aisin FHT002 manual locking hubs and had to modify the Wits End @NLXTACY 8mm spacers.
Took a lot of back and forth till I got it right where the spacer fit with the snap ring. It had to be really thin in order to not interfer with the inner hub, dial and gears. I did a test drive and it works fine both locked and unlocked. So now I have AWD and Sorta RWD. Sorta RWD because the front shaft still spins when the hubs are unlocked and center locked. It does divert more power to the rear than the front, but not as much with zero front shaft or PT SPOOL. Both drive and steers totally different. Its lighter steering in RWD with more power. AWD is predictable steering but feels heavy.
I'm tempted to reinstall the PT spool I just removed. Not sure at this point. Going to play with it more.

@Delta VS @NLXTACY Finally completed my Delta Console full install and attached my Wits End APU1.
The install went fairly easy. I added 1 extra 12v plug for the rear but I think I'm going to buy some additional (can't ever have enough 12v sources).
It's definitely more room inside the Delta than the Tuffy. The Delta gives more leg room for the 5th middle passenger. I used the Tuffy for 4 years and loved it. Not sure if I love the price of the Delta though. It's very expensive considering what it does. Otherwise well designed product. Only took me a few times to get a good one but Delta took care of me and got everything squared away.

The rig's coronavirus ready with the Colorx in the rear cup holders. LOL
I'm selling my Tuffy box w/ the tuffy dual cup holder, Tuffy center console (new never used it) cushion/pad, 2x keys, 1x1 tube mount and hardware, the OEM LX450 center console trimmed and modded to fit with the Tuffy cup holder. It's a little dirty but cleans up nice. I'll throw in the spray paint can I used that color matched perfectly with the oem interior color.

I sold the Gold 80 since the wife didn't me to do another big project. Which means I'm giving upon the the 79 series conversion.
Most of my parts I saved for the gold 80 just sold too. Bye bye to the ARB Front, 4x4 Labs Rear, Tuffy box, OME J springs/shocks and a bunch of other random stuff I had for it. I still have a bunch of stuff I need to get rid of.
Anyone want to buy a 2005 79 series complete Cab?
