About to start a “build” on my 69 fj40. My dad bought this for me a year ago today and I got it running, driving, and mostly stopping. (Needs front axle overhaul). At this point I would like to tear it down, fix a big leak from my overdrive unit, paint the frame, and install a lift kit. The goal here isn’t to make a perfect show car. The goal is to make it mechanically sound but still have some rust and dents so when we do stupid stuff in it off road we don’t have to worry about it.
