Rear shackles are upside down

Nice build 👍
You are correct sir. I knew that. I don’t know how we let that slip. Let’s please keep that between the two of us.

Great info! Thanks for heads up on using 40/55 mounts.

Had I seen this earlier I would have posted this here:

I know nothing about the mounts in the link above. It was just something I found in my searches a couple years ago. This is the only complete set of 45 body mounts (I’m aware of ) that’s still available other than your 40/55 set. Hopefully the info you’ve posted will help someone else in the future
Alright in case anyone was wondering…we used a combination of a front pair of FJ40 body mounts and a pair of round FJ55 body mounts in the rear. There’s only 4 total.

Assembly continues. Here’s the driver’s seat mounted. Henry’s head through the back glass if we get in an accident. I’m hoping his mother won’t notice because low back buckets are so cool.

Had to do some impromptu body work with a rubber mallet and carpet. The body guy didn’t notice it was crunched up a little bit

You can see the before and after on the reveal between the fender and apron. Also compared to the driver’s side.

Big changes! Our family moved after 15 years. We’re in an apartment while we find a new home. My man also got an antelope. 550 yard shot. Best day ever. And the truck in its new home.

Ok so I need some help when hit the horn button the thing on the ignition coil make a vibration sound. The ignition switch does not do anything. And also does the red wire go to the battery.

Part 1 of heater box restoration. Disassembly and cleaning. It was clear full of 45 year old Wookiee pubes. No wonder it smelled so good when you turned it on. There was also a bent bracket preventing the damper from blowing on your feet. Flushed the heater core with vinegar. Scraped off all the old foam. Generally speaking it’s in great condition. We’ll clean it up and spray paint it. More to come.

Make sure to neutralize the vinegar with a base like baking soda. I didn’t and it ate through the core.

We flushed it out with baking soda solution like was suggested. We still need a couple more little things to finish it off. Small bushings and some c-clips. Here it mostly done.

Picked up the truck from a shop here in ABQ. Had a bit of electrical work that was above our pay grade. Nothing sketchy about any of this. Yes he is sitting on a folding chair. Yes it’s rush hour. Yes the dog wants to ride with him. Yes that’s a huge smile.

Spring Break 2026! We packed up the truck and took it back to our shop in Gallup to fab up the bed. I always forget how pretty this truck is in the sun.
