Roof consoles and door speaker pods....anyone interested?

As someone who has been driving 70 series for over 20 years now I can say I am super happy with the speaker pods and the extra storage they bring and extra space to put your beverage ! Installed them last week before a 6000km roadtrip and these things are awesome. Today I finally had some time to mount the hood props wich are cool but more a gadget as after all when you own a diesel Cruiser how many times you actually have to open the hood

Really glad you like them Joe....they're super nice and functional without looking too terribly 'added on'. The fit is really spot on too.

Damn, I was hoping for a blank canvas. I have pre-existing Pioneer speakers that are around 5 inches. Bummer.

Damn, I was hoping for a blank canvas. I have pre-existing Pioneer speakers that are around 5 inches. Bummer.

Why not remove the 5" speakers and install some larger ones? The sound difference between the 5 and the 6.5 is quite a bit.
There is a wood insert that goes in the pod(where the speaker is)...allows for all kinds of mounting options.

100% injection molded. Very very nice. I'm not really a clutter person but I've found that the door pockets are really nice for little stuff.....I keep a dog leash in mine on one of the trucks. Water bottle holder is nice and being able to run bigger speakers is the best part.
Just about ready to do a set on the new 79.....will be in the build thread. I do mine a little differently than how they are designed.
It's that time of year again....time for another order of speaker pods. Please PM me for details.
The rears are available now too for 76 trucks....not sure if that covers 77 too. It does cover 4 door LC79s
What is next? Bose Panaray system?

if one was planning to reupholster the door cards i would be curious to know if these could be modified to fit the 80 series
By any chance does the roof console fit my 73? If so I’ll take one!!!! **crossing fingers**
what about modifying them slightly to fit an 80? id be recovering the door so the existing speaker hole would be coveredAfraid they won't fit a 73 but the speaker pods for the doors will

I would think that would be a possibility.....the door card on an 80 is about 31-32" towards the bottom.....the speaker pods are 32. So maybe contour them to fit depending on how low you put them. They'd be really nice on there, especially if you were recovering everything.
I've got a whole pile of them in inventory if you're ready to be a trailblazer
