Lots happens when you work… sheesh.

Yes some of that Nate Knowledge got passed to me thanks to Ian!

I have questions of ignorance with that carb, yet will ask later with pictures perhaps.

Stop working, simple.

The mounts don’t align off the break so you’d need to adapt. What you really need is the 75-80 non-USA 2F air cleaner.

Way better. :)

While that would be sweet, my PS pump seems to be in the way. I’m ready to adapt almost anything to swap these carbs. This Weber is making me crazy.

Good lord. Looking at these two engine bays I feel like I’m comparing my teeth to a dentist’s.

A nippondenso A/C compressor (mounted under the alternator on the passenger side) and electric P/S system from cityracer would clean it up alot, just saying…
The AC compressor is ridiculous I agree and the system isn’t even functioning. The power steering (Saginaw) however, works great and while inherited with the truck, was a labor of love to button all up.

I’ve got better ways for you to spend my money.

Actually, that big ol York is begging to be used for on board air compressor :grinpimp:
It’s funny you should say that as that was my first thought when I started studying what was under the hood when I got this girl back when. The interior unit is even more obscenely large.

Hey it was just a suggestion, no need to get testy.

This whole website is just us spending each other’s money if you think about it.

It’s all
Sorry about that, this old dog is just sitting on the porch barking.
It’s all good.

The only reason I have a lawn is so I can yell at people to get off of it.

Carb and linkage
Stated this over on the “What have you done … lately” thread but want it here for a q and a.

The city racer Fuji carb is in.
Used a later 2F valve cover from Proffitt (a dang deal @$50) that took a wee bit of cleaning.
Did the VC to accommodate the air cleaner I traded Jimmy @CenTXFJ60 some horses for.

Easier to find the wrong valve cover than the right air cleaner.

My patron saint of Norman @OlYellr contributed the linkage and Nate @mattressking continues to be a voice of reason. So far so better than the Weber but most people know this.

Still figuring out the tuning a bit (a lot) and know I’m going to have a float adjustment soon. Will be adding an OEM one per Nate.

Running fairly well despite fuel being way below the middle of the window. Yanked out my homemade brackets in favor of the linkage, interesting approach Mr T. Anyway, pictures:

I think I’m going to start collecting parts to rid myself of my Weber as well.

Engine bay looks great.
Thanks man, it’s getting better I guess.

It’s definitely more parts than I thought. What air cleaner do you have now?
