did the conversion kit have Dellows on it as to have a conversion done you would have to cut the firewall, well, thats what happened in my 302 anyway
I didn't find any brand names on the conversion mounts. The firewall was cut and the frame mounts were booger welded farther back. We had a donor cowl and the firewall and trannyhump were patched. Next steps are front axle and making sure that the body parts are complete.

Would have it on there like this. Although it looks like an advance one or a marks one. Never know though some use the Toyota bellhousing some have a custom one

But the PO had chains holding the engine onto the frame. It was real Purdy...That along with the Edelbrock Marine 4 barrel carb should qualify it for the FJ40 ways to not convert your FJ40 hall of fame.

Probably what saved the whole truck in the end. Looked like it was a failed attempt and they gave up on it. The next owner took the pieces back to Ohio, stored it and then back home to WV where he was from. It sat on a precarious perch on the side of a mountain covered by a tarp. The actual tub and frame were really in great shape when Jesse found it. But getting it off its' perch was an adventure. Even better was the donor cowl we had was from Greg Greg, in NC who insisted I was going to need it before we ever saw this truck and it was a perfect fit for the pieces we needed for a clean oem patch. Cruiser destiny. The 350 small block was a recent reman and had very few miles on it and has found new life in a 72 El Camino.

FWIW, the FJ40 frt or rear axle housing won't fit in the JetSpray tank (oversized dishwasher machine) at local machine shop.
Bummer that I gotta clean that shiite by hand.

You might take in the knuckles, spindles, arms, backing plates etc to be degreased. Better than doing it yourself and using a 4pack of papertowels and a case of Brakleen.

Our shop does large diesels so space isn't a concern. Plan is to take everything in. I destroyed the garage floor just doing the teardown. Princess won't be happy that her dd is kicked out for the day.

I received the Saginaw power steering pump and mount from Mark @65swb45 this morning. I wanted to run the FJ60 pump but it posed problems with the early air cleaner. This looks like it will work great.

You can call a princess a queen, but never call a queen a princess

Jim, You could always drive up for a visit and we could drop those parts off for ya. They do diesels as big as our 40s

A quick mock up of the power steering pump on the marks offroad bracket. It looks like rather than using a water pump bolt, I can flip the adjuster around and use the stud on the back of the pump and the existing stud on the block. I am going to have to trim my fan shroud or go to the 1f shroud to clear the front of the pulley. And lastly the radiator support rod needs to be bent to clear depending on belt tension.

This really is a sickness. This is only one of our parts storage. @dlzadl is responsible for 4 40s and a 60 and we sold 2. It doesn't seem to be out of control. I know @Vae Victus rented space to keep the peace. I have grand powder coating plans for the range.
