Wow, looking great! Starting on the painting tomorrow?

Gotta do some planning with that. I guess need a paint booth type thing. gonna start with the undercarriage to get some idea on how this stuff lays out. Then move into the areas that are more visible.

Still got to clean/sand/clean before i get that paint satifaction. :(!

That’s what I am looking at to sand w 300grt tomorrow. :

At least it’s Stil on a rotisserie! I can only imagine the level of sanding when it’s on just a cart!

Question
Do I need to worry about over spray? I figure when I come back to do the outside I will tape all the areas that have already been painted, and just paint over the previous over spray.

Okay so I think I have a good option in the booth. Gettobfabulaous.

Now I have been cruxing on the gun thing. I am hoping that a gauge on my compressor is bad.
Compressor gauge was set around 30lbs and then at the pot I was shooting for a 4-10lbs of pressure. Every time I hit the air on the gun it zeroed out. Kept messing with the tank gauge and it would zero out as well. I have a 5hp compressor.

These are the times when I live next door to, you know, those guys!

Stil trying to figure out a spray strategy while I’m getting high on paint fumes!

I never did ‘huffing’ when I was a grom so I’m not sure how I’ll respond. Will I remember how it wanted to proceed or will I want to ask Alice, softly spoken?

CRUXING

Set the gauge at 45 at compressor (with the tank pressure at 120)

Then I set the gauge on the pot, which I imagine runs the gun pressure, at 8lbs.

Hit the trigger and both the pot and compressor gauges zero out!

What am I doing wrong!!!! I'm dead in the sand!

Have I set the hoses up wrong? What gives?!
